Sometimes, Dave sounds like he's laughing at the song, the audience, the entire genre. Then, he does a song like Diamond Lil, maybe the best country song, blues song, soul song, jazz song ever recorded.

When my ex of 20 years were dating back in the late 90s, we would go see him play in the Boston clubs. One time we traveled to NH to see the band perform at the Rynborn and stayed at the same B&B as the band members across the street. I remember chatting a bit with the band members now and then and even Luther at least one time. The last time I saw the band play was probably in 2000/2001. At that point, we had started a family and stopped going out. Moving to VA in 2004 also contributed to those times coming to an end. Anyway, those were good times and fond memories for sure. I had so many of his albums (CDs). I still have all that music now in digital format.

Did I Ever tell you the story of how I let the same dog bite me twice? I was in Elementary School on my way Home as we were only a few blocks but a Neighbors Dog attacked me & bit my right shoulder & got 2 stitches, A week later same dog bites my left shoulder & got 2 more stitches. That Dog had bitten a few Dozen people before it got put down... It was a Crazy Mutt...

Funny I had a similar experience... I Fell in Love with a Girl & She ends up in LA & I Followed her out a year & a Half later. That's how I got to California in 1983. Naturally she was never in Love with Me.

Whenever I listen to jazz & blues, I feel the urge to drink strong whiskey. However, it has been 14 years since I last had a drink. Well, despite this strong desire, I will never drink alcohol. Why do little gripe and big thankful intersect in my heart at the same time? Perhaps, that is why I love jazz & blues more than anything else? 🙏🤎😊

Always knew something different about Eric. The playing comes from a very deep, real amd authentic story. One of tears, frustration hope and inthe end victory. Thank God for a good wife, his grace and a powerful testimony.

Two things I like about this cat's guitar playing. Great tonal techniques including use of sustain and bends creating some personal signature sounds. Also great fundamentals on rhythm guitar covering a wide range of styles: I particularly enjoyed some of the rockabilly jazzy Brian Setzer rhythm sounds on one of his songs. I do feel like he is searching on portions of some guitar solos trying to find his optimal sound - this is a good thing that he has the courage to experiment a bit as he continues to develop his sound and style of play - but he also his great knowledge and skills to play really polished when he wants to.
