What a great interview with Luther. Thank you for that! What a nice man. So sad that he passed away. Some years ago I was pretty close bringing him over to Europe and do a tour together through some countries like The Netherlands, where I'm from. But he couldn't make it then. Now he's gone, just like his friend James 'Tail Dragger' Jones, who passed away some weeks ago on Sept 4th. Two of my idols and oldschool bluesmen gone...

When my ex of 20 years were dating back in the late 90s, we would go see him play in the Boston clubs. One time we traveled to NH to see the band perform at the Rynborn and stayed at the same B&B as the band members across the street. I remember chatting a bit with the band members now and then and even Luther at least one time. The last time I saw the band play was probably in 2000/2001. At that point, we had started a family and stopped going out. Moving to VA in 2004 also contributed to those times coming to an end. Anyway, those were good times and fond memories for sure. I had so many of his albums (CDs). I still have all that music now in digital format.

Thank you for this video. I just came across his record Doin the Sugar Too while searching through vinyl bins. What a delight it is to discover his music.
