After few reviews I'm so glad I didn't buy any. They seem a glittery, sparkly mess and not that flattering on the eyes. People had plenty fall out. And I know I have better performing and adhering toppers in my stash. To me the look on the eyes wasn't sophisticated at all 🤔 I think TF baked shadows are nicer

I feel similar.. I really like the colours But I don't like this being another trio. Quads are limited enough so why make it worse? It's a bit of a shame. I also started seeing pictures of the many many Korean Eyeshadow palettes that contain the same shades. Anything " almond", "bakery" or "cereal" named /themed is full of those tones. I have quite a handful of such palettes

I ordered the palette FOR the two matte shades and do not expect I will use the shimmery shade. Interesting to have the opposite thought as you lol!

Have you used Viseart shimmers? The all shimmer palettes are mostly satins.

I'm pretty sure the eyeshadow trio is a repromote. I bought it about 2-3 years ago and the quality was just terrible - maybe the Safari collection, I can't remember. And it pulled orange on me and had no longevity at all.. Don't buy this. Its overpriced 💩💩

Ysl eyeshadow pallete in Over brun are such a great colours. But sadly on me..dont last long. Also shimmer are for me are way to big. I prefer more subtle and reflective ones. I still waiting for perfect quad😢

Oh I was waiting for your review - I love the packaging so much… but then I looked carefully and it looked like basic formula - for me, it’s perfect packaging, perfect shade colors… but why so boring formula 😢 - disappointing - loved the sunstone though - really enjoying how perfect those powders look on my skin - so,beautiful

I am so glad I watched this. I am so drawn to this, but it really makes no logical sense to purchase this particular palette.

I adore cheetahs and 'boring' neutrals are totally my thing, especially a shimmery taupe or grey/brown but I won't be getting this palette. The price point is ridiculous for the products, which, as you have pointed out are all easily dupable.

It's definitely overpriced for what it is, but I have to admit that I'm very tempted by the eyeshadow trio. The packaging is gorgeous & the shades are very wearable. I havent purchased anything from Chantecaille in a while so I'm considering this one.

I agree with you and thank you for the swatches. Pinto looks very nice. I think the bobbi brown eyeshadow quads in the baked formula are a better purchase for me than these from Chantecaille.

Did you buy the Bobbi brown star crossed palette? There is a similar colour in to these two however it has a slight shimmer to it. I’ve been using it as a one and done for those ‘no makeup” days. I find Chantecaille way too expensive for what you get. Sisley is my preference also, I only have the one colour silky chestnut but for me it is the perfect one and done shade. Thanks Claudia.

Sisley’s single eyeshadow Matte Taupe is a favorite of mine.

Using a touch of concealer and face powder to even out eyelids achieves the same effect in my opinion. However, I do occasionally use a light eyeshadow as well. My favourite being the single eyeshadow colour STONE by Burberry (unsure if still available). It’s the perfect eyelid shade. Also, the Chanel eyeshadow palette Claire Obscure has a lovely light shade for this purpose and quite forgiving on dry lids. I might also add the Chanel single eyeshadow beige sable if you want a little shine is useful too. It’s on my list to buy.

I love your comparison and your channel is the best at explaining how different formulas are in such detail - you’ve given me info that I did t even know I wanted to know and didn’t know 😅 - love it You inspired me to try the chantecaille sunstone blushes - I didn’t think it was special bc I knew the packaging was real thin/cheap feeling (and I do want lux packaging at this point) - but I have a lot of fomo about that pretty limited shimmery light pink Chanel blush that I missed - well, the sunstone blush formula is gorgeous! Its so so so pretty - I don’t have anything like it that is so soft and subtle glow and feels delightful - I then got the bronzer, which I wasn’t looking at either bc I had tried their normal bronzer and it was the same color as my Gucci bronzer - but the sunstone is slightly different and it gives a perfect glow - not the same as their other bronzer I tired at all - it’s like a nude color, glass skin, slightly glowy blush on me I know you mentioned getting the peachy sunstone shade - but I’m sending that one back - the pink and peach blushes look the same on me - maybe if I had darker tone skin, the lighter pink would appear more highlighted - but they look exactly the same - - and yes, the packaging it’s thin and hopefully won’t break, but it’s still pretty and feels nice in my hands with its domed shape

Using the Sisley powder as the primer powder is a great idea!! I love matte baked shades. They just sit so beautifully on my older lids. But I’d go with the powder if I was using it only to prime the lid! (I can’t believe I never thought of doing that!)

For some reason the Surratt Souffle shadows don't work well for me. They're patchy & dont last on my eyelids. I'll have to pull them out & try again. I recall trying a few different application methods. I too have the same Chanel polish and cant wait to use it.

You are spot on, and other influencers are saying the same thing. Hopefully Pat’s next mothership palette will still have the same quality as in the past, but you might be right about not seeing the baked gelee formula. I guess we’ll have to wait and see. Fingers crossed!

It's so interesting hearing you talk about the Bobbi Brown quads - I feel the exact same way! Milky Way is far too pink toned and warm but I am interested in Star Crossed for similar reasons to you - Mothership I is my absolute favourite mothership, I love VR Violet and get tonnes of compliments when wearing it, and I would like a subtle version of it that I can wear to work. Every now and then Bobbi Brown goes on sale for 20% off so I am hoping I can get it on a discount. I am a bit like you - I think most luxury makeup is overpriced tbh but I still buy it because I would rather pay $50 for one perfect blush than spend $50 and have 5 blushes that don't feel quite right. Chantecaille's prices make me laugh but if they released that blush in a shade I liked... goodbye money ;)

Asian consumers obtained these Dior eyeshadow about 3 weeks earlier. As I saw the swatches and the looks on their eye lids, I felt I like to get it (of course the pouch enticed me as well. So when Dior limited Paris collection showed up in the US website on 7/21, I placed order for #083. Around 1 AM received email from Dior that my order is on its way. Around 3 PM my order has arrived. Very impressed with Dior’s handling of mobile order. All these eyeshadow quints are stunning in its own right. I own Chanel Eyeshadow Rivage #78 so I feel I don’t need another blue #173 eyeshadow palette since I have various pink/rose/plum related eyeshadow #983. Picked #083 mainly of the silver/grayish and champagne light green topper shade. All very sparkling so fall out is hard to avoid. I am comfortable wearing it any occasion. In fact the sparkling give a festive holiday vibes due Paris is host city of Summer games. I also own Chanel #38, another different smoky eye shadow. I ended up have luxury limited edition French beauty. Feels like a blast🎉 since these limited editions can sell out fast.

I've known baked gelee eyeshadow formulas and know PML fans were very upset when they were not in recent motherships yet i have to say, when finally trying them, i found the pressed foiled shades in moonlit seduction much more exciting than those. I'm not all over those quads but i love the packaging so i'll get one..

Ah good to know about the re-promotes. I wondered if and how many there were but didn’t have time to search. Thank you! My feeling is that the only baked we will get from Pat, would be in the form of those kits with an eye gloss or something. Limited edition and cleary aimed at the audience who likes the avant-garde side of her brand.

Packaging looks like it's aimed at teenagers although the price isn't! I'm completely over PMG. None of it is inspiring anymore. Its just re-promotes these days. I haven't bought anything from the brand for over 3 years. I wonder whether Pat Mcgrath has actually sold the brand on the quiet as the quality of the collections is so poor.

I think you cracked the code about the holiday collections being the roadmap for the next year’s launches. I much prefer the new formula she uses in her quints that have no pan so these quads are an easy pass for me. I believe Prada uses this same formula without a pan.
