You can also use cling wrap on top of the clay when using intricate cutters to keep the clay from sticking in your cutter.

I have had so many messed up projects and I just mushed it all back together and got some very interesting things. Some slices, sometimes put through the pasta machine That way I didn’t waste the clay.

I noticed the green material (looks like flannel maybe) on your baking pan. Is that how you bake them?

Just an old cotton t shirt. It works better than putting it on the sheet directly as in keeping the backs from getting those little hole marks

You were saying that you sell your pieces. How do you decide how much to charge for them? I haven’t tried to sell anything but I have lots of nice pieces made. I also make beaded jewelry and I have a hard time deciding if the price is just right.

Oh so fun❣️ I like the arrowhead cutter!! Not being from the Southwest I don’t often think of that shape but I do love the colors you use for your southwestern themed pieces. I like the addition of the feather, too. Glad to hear the wildfire is contained now. It is interesting to hear you talk about things you see and experience where you are. I love thunderstorms, too. Thank you for sharing 🖤🧡🩵💛🤍

I like the cutter for mokume gane . I know this would be to expensive but it keeps going though my head, so in an effort to get it out I am going to say it. What about a grid cutter with additional inserts ( maybe purchase separately ) that fit into grid .? I know I’m crazy . I was thinking that mokume gane is very random and if I could add a chosen pattern it might be interesting. I could choose a pattern I liked and make different mokume gane in different colors or different shades like black and white. I’m going to stop now . Ha ha

@@TheCreativeDork5 I, too, was concerned about the fire reports. I went on Google maps just to see how close you were to Gorman. It is hard to imagine having to deal with these threats all the time and frightening how fast moving and destructive the fires are. I hope you continue to be safe and glad you’re back from your trip.

Exactly. Just now got on the road to home. We have a huge wildfire close to home who's smoke has made it all the way here. Just now passed the Colorado River. 3 states In 15 minutes lol

@TheCreativeDork5 yikes! Fire is a really scary thing here...lost an entire suburb a couple of years ago...still not as bad as Cali I guess...be safe✌️🥰 (u missed the 4 corners area then! Lol!)

@@TheCreativeDork5 I live in the same valley as you. I'm sure we have an arsonist. I know the Gorman fire was caused by. a chain being dragged behind a horse trailer, but all these other fires, every day, scream arsonist to me. BTW I love your videos and thank you for sharing them.

Absolutely. Rosamond had 5 on asmamy days. Gorman and Castsic burnalmost ever year. It's been since 2010 I believe when it hit our neighborhood. Thank goodness we still don't have the brush we did then

Whereabouts are u. Another fire started and close to my daughter...do u have any info. Started at 80rh west and L...already traveled to 60th west. From 30 to 700 acres in 20 minutes. We're about an hour away but see smoke from Gorman all down towards sf valley

Hey Irene, thank you so much for the tutorial and all the tutorials that you’ve done there after. If you always forget about what you want to make before you sit down, just write them down on a piece of paper or easier yet put them in your notes in your phone, so you can always rely to them for that day.

This is proof that even though we may have feelings of doom and dread waiting up ahead, are out of ideas, tired, depressed..... etc..... the creative juices just may be flowing stronger than ever. In spite of negative emotions and strength, you caving in would have been a HUGE mistake. #1 I much prefer your work to hers, #2 this is one of your best ever creations. I hope your hubby driver trip might also be a wonderful unexpected, serendipitous & cool surprise. Hang in!!!!
