I watched Downton Abbey in german. This is the first time seeing/hearing the original version and the way Mary emphasize the words makes so much more sense now and gives the character an even more iconic feel. The german is not bad - but it‘s not the original

Just another amazing Julian Fellows creation. Lady Mary's evolution from the opening scene... all the way to the last episode... was just another piece of this show's appeal. The evolution of ALL of the characters was something... but Lady Mary's was epic.

My favourite character. I love Mrs Hughes, I love Mathew, I love Violet. But Mary is such a bitch at times, and what can I do, I love baddies in movies 😅
