Who cares about stats, they lose more than they win. Those numbers can be garbage time stats when teams will let you go down the field to keep the clock running.

I agree that the wins are way more important than the stats, but to give the offense credit, they have been in super close, high scoring 1-score games like 7 times this season. Those stats aren’t coming from garbage time.

Its NOT that unreasonable that it comes down to us losing at pitt in week 18 which seems inevitable way to end this cluster. We shall see

If I’m guessing, I would say Tee is gonna be around 3 yrs/$25 mil per year and JC is going at 4 yrs/$40 mil per year. Now how much will be guaranteed, I’ll bet at least 75%. And if they don’t resign Tee, then they need to make a big defensive signing.

We aren't winning another game. Even if we try. We needed a freaky blocked punt recovery to win this one. Rework the defense by cutting players and bringing in others. Change some coaches. Effect a new attitude of toughness from the FO to the players.

Chargers, Bills, and Chiefs all let their wrs walk and now they’re spending significant picks to get receiving threats to replace them… all have spent a first and a second on receiving threats along with a multitude of signings in free agency. The bengals do not have the picks to fool with trying to replace tee. They have failed at replacing every other big free agent they’ve let walk. They can sign tee, they can sign Jamarr, and they can still easily have 100 mil in cap space left to spend. This is a no brainer for any other team. You have to pay your studs. Especially young players in their prime. Those teams I mentioned let those guys leaves when they were all 30 or older and they’re still feeling the ramifications with their offensive production. Tee is only 25. Don’t be dumb. Pay the man. Him and Jamarr have proven they can take us to the Super Bowl. They can do it again.

Its almost funny that the Brown-Blackburn family pinching pennys with chase last season is now gonna cost them dimes since his production vaulted him to the highest paid wr. How they ever turned $7.5 million into several Billion at our exoense should be a Doctorate Level class at Harvard.

I watch every day.Appreciate your content. Disagree on roster though. Cappa, Hill, Hubbard, CTB and several others have struggled this season after playing their rolls at championship level a couple years ago. They arent old enough to have fallen off a cliff. Only Orlando Brown JR and Tre Hendrickson started this year ready to go. If Zack is sticking around he needs to acknowledge that he has to figure the not being ready thing out. If its a roster problem we cant ever be confident one season to the next because pro bowl caliber guys can just forget how to play in one off season. Has to be the way coaches are preparing.

Man, I understand everybody wants the Bengals to tank the rest of their season so they can get better draft capital, but if there's anything I can promise you that is absolutely not going to happen, Zack. Taylor and the rest of the coaching staff are probably coaching for their jobs. So to them, having a better record to keep their job is way more important than getting better. Draft picks, so the draft order if the season ended Today is irrelevant because it's not over today not to mention the players currently on the roster who are starters, especially on defense. Are trying to prove that they are worth keeping around next season.

The Bengals have something many other teams don’t. A top # 2 quarterback and #1 receiver. Teams only shortfall is their talent scouts need to be evaluated.

James you know Higgins is gone. They had Burrow Chase and Higgins on rookie contracts that’s done. You’re not going to have a quarterback making 55+ million a year, the highest paid WR in history (Chase) and Higgins making 30+ million. While your offensive line lets Joe get destroyed and your defense can’t stop anything. Higgins is the odd man out we’ve known this for years

I so think cut geno stone Sheldon Rankins Sam Hubbard Cappa Volson and hit free agency hard keep Tee and Trey and there are a few other guys I would cut like Moss. As long as they grab some trench players in free agency and grab a good safety and cornerback and we can be back in the hunt for winning are division and the make a run in the suberbowl grab another WR in the draft a running back and what they don't get in free agency Micha Parsons wants to play for us and they need to get a few really good guards on the o-line they just have to be whiling to spend on good free agency players and then nail the draft but keep Tee

The only way this happens is if Joe takes a pay cut. If we really want to see a meaningful change on defense, that will require a big investment in the off season. Do we really have the cap resources for that? I’m a skeptic

I'll just say this, you don't get better by letting your best players walk away in their prime. You don't refuse to pay Tee. This offense is terrific. You don't tear that down add defense. ..you can have both

Name one team that committed that high of a percentage of their cap to QB and WR and won a Super Bowl? Just name one. You won’t be able to. You in fact do get better by letting your best players walk away in their prime if that player is your WR 2. Your chance to win with that luxury is while they’re on a rookie deal. Missed that window. You’ll get a 3rd round comp pick back, and then a chance to commit that money elsewhere. If your team knows how to draft, then that’s where you fill out the depth chart on a position with an already high cap allocation. Literally no team in history has ever paid that much money to their WRs, while their star QB is also getting paid and won the Super Bowl. You rarely see it with one expensive WR, let alone 2.

@@stephenaddison4727 You missed the point entirely. Pats had Brady on a team friendly deal and Wes Welker was never that large % of the cap like what Chase and Higgins would be. Colts might be the exception but you can already see how rare that is, and that’s with Antoine Bethea on a rookie deal and the year right before Bob Sanders and Dwight Freeney getting paid. Bengals don’t have that level of defensive talent on cheap deals. The Chiefs had Mahomes and Kelce both underpaid and so was Hill until the year he was traded, that’s the entire reason he got traded. There’s plenty of teams with two great WRs and a QB that won. Doing that after they’ve gotten paid is what doesn’t happen because the rest of your roster isnt good. Burrow, Chase, and Higgins would all be on non-team friendly deals and unless you think they’re giving you some hometown discount, it’s not possible. The Bengals in all likelihood aren’t the exception. You saying “we have no one else to pay” is laughable because you should be using that money on more valuable free-agents in terms of position needs.

I'd rather take the $30m Higgins wants and spend it on 2 guards or a guard and a piece on defense. You can get a pretty dang good guard in free agency for $15m and a good DT for $15m

@LockedOnBengals My only concern with paying Higgins is the soft tissue injuries, bc those don't happen less frequently with age. I know free agency is a gamble but the Superbowl teams defense was created through free agency. My priority would be the Oline, bc Burrows body isn't gonna hold up forever, he's taken far too many hits and he'll start losing athletic ability sooner rather than later, getting beat up like he is

Yeah the one score game was manageable for once all the other one score games joe would have had to have thrown for 600 yds and 5tds to win and would have had to score 35 40 and even 45 in some cases in order to win that's unsustainable

Would be very surprised if Tee isn't just ready to go be a #1 and truly show his wares. He was again a spectator last night while Chase had a monster game, and I'm sure he wants to be in position to have those games himself. He'll never reach his ceiling as a player in Chase's shadow.

GM Joe Burrow lol. Need stop worrying about draft position. The only reason I believe a NFL team should tank for a high pick is if it's for a Franchise QB. The Bengals have that... I saw a mock draft with the assumption Bengals would lose Higgins and pick a WR in 1st RD. This does not improve the team. Based on Burrow's comments I am going to assume Burrow is willing to restructure his contract if the Organization agrees to use the restructured contract money to resign Higgins. There are several good safety's in the 2025 FA Market. The Bengals don't need a great defense. They just need a defense similar to Arizona. Arizona has a very underrated defense with very lil elite player's. This is the kind of Defense the Bengals could build.

Spot on. Letting tee walk and drafting a wr first round would set this team back multiple years. Signing tee, getting a guard or 2 and then going heavy on defense in free agency and the draft is really all this team needs. All we need is an average defense.

@@stephenaddison4727 Time to spend the high draft picks (i.e rounds 1, 2, 3)on OL and DL. We traded down a couple years ago into the early 2nd round to get Jackson Carmin??? We passed on so many other good linemen. this is why Taylor and Tobin must go.

@@stephenaddison4727 I mentioned Arizona Defense because coming into season Arizona's D was suppose to be in the lower tier. However Arizona's D has actually been a decent defense this season. I can't think of any elite player's off that Def. Maybe Bengals should hire Arizona Def Coordinator. I do think Lou should go... YES Bengals lack talent on Defense. But bad tackling is not a talent issue it's a fundamental Coaching issue... If Zac Taylor is brought back I do think someone is going to be a scape goat and that will be Lou...
