Probably the best SharePoint tips and tricks on the entire Net ❤🎉 keep it up man! We’re all here taking notes 😊

It's very clever but clearly you aren't creating a custom web part at all. So, I kinda feel I was hooked in to your video under false pretences 😁 Would I use this in a production environment? No. For the simple reason that you're then a hostage to fortune i.e. if/when Figma decide to change how their product works - especially if you're using a free account. If Figma, for instance, decide to limit free accounts to X views per day or added "Made with Figma" slap bang in the middle, then your beautifully crafted "web parts" are suddenly not so clever. ☹ However, if it's possible to export this out of Figma as a fully functioning web page which you could host separately, then I'd change my opinion. But it is still an inventive trick nevertheless. 👍

Aaaand... they're back :) I've created well over 50 PnP Search-powered pages in the past few weeks without a header section. Only to come back to work this morning and see that all the old header sections are back without the option to remove them. Same on my demo tenant. Thank you Microsoft.
@Academy365-Dan6 күн бұрын
Yea I woke up to that same change myself. The new toolbox (not very useful as far as I can see) was also there so I'm guessing the header being removed is a bug associated with that update. I'm sure they'll fix it soon

Doesn't seem to work on lists that contain videos because they now open in Stream, which has both a Download button and a screen record feature, so no obvious way to protect proprietary video content. Works great for other lists, tho'.

Hi @Academy365-Dan, I am desperate to understand if we could use lists to work as a PIM (Product information management) which I think its possible after watching bunch of your videos, where we create product information but the question is the assets. Our goal is to have a folder with photos like, photoshoot photos of ambient or ecommerce products, and when someone searches for one SKU they can find all the images related to that SKU, even if one image has 3 SKU's in ambient..

Wish you would go into more detail about the colour slots. Also When I copied the code I had two slots disabled. Is that normal?

Great video! How did you manage to place a filter on the secondary page with the chips (8:24)? Does each product have a page and views for each one? Or is there a way to make just one page that is filtered based on a parameter?
@Academy365-Dan23 күн бұрын
Hi! The chips page is just a regular site page, so there would be a dedicated site page per menu Item. You're spot on with the set up 👍... I set up a list called nutritional info and aligned it with each product (or at least that's what I would have done if I had the time). Then, within that list I would have had a view per product. Then, I created a seperate list of sizes (SML MED LRG) which I used to dynamic filter on the page.

I still consider myself a 'rookie' in the SharePoint arena. I have a looooooong way to go to become a SPoint Gladiator ... but ALL of Dan's videos have been VERY helpful training videos. I only recently tripped across Academy 365 and have been binge watching ever since. It has been like getting a drink of water from a firehose. But they are so well done and presented that I just keep going (but I know I will circle back and watch many more times ... over and over). This video was pretty deep for me, but I NEVER would have found these features and techniques on my own. Thank you ... thank you ... thank you...

Thank you for this video. Great information. I am just getting started with lists and forms. I have one list that has a major horizontal scroll issue. Is there a way to have a lookup list that has all of the same options for every row in the original list but it can be customized? Essentially I am trying to track which software add ons each requestor has approved. The list of available add ons is the same but each requestor or row in the main list can have different ones

I have now been through 'Filtering DONE RIGHT' three times ... SLOWLY , i.e. ...play ... pause ... rewind ... play ... pause ... rewind. The video is a wonderful tutorial ... really good work. A request please: prepare a Part 2 in which you walk through the steps to set up and edit the "Learn More" page. Thank you ... very much appreciated.

Did I overlook something? When I embed the prototype in my SharePoint, it appears with a black background similar to the background when playing a prototype. ☹
@Academy365-Dan29 күн бұрын
Hey! If you set the background of your figma page to white that should sort that out for you. Click anywhere within the page which isn't a frame or item and on the right you will see a field called page where you can set the colour. Chnage that to white (assuming it isn't already). Hopefully that helps

This is great thanks. Can you have multiple filter lists which filter the main list? For example a category like you have in your McDonalds scenario and add another filter list with Beef, Chicken and Vegetarian. Then you could select Burgers in Category filter list and then Vegetarian in filter list 2, showing fish burgers, or Chicken to get Chicken Mayo and McCrispy etc……. I have this type of scenario now and this would be perfect and I can’t see it in your course which I’m 3/4 way through and really enjoying. Thank you 👍
