It’s unlikely because they don’t know what it is about classic that people like. What they learned from classic and they were so excited to present to us was remix and seasonal discovery. They are ideologically committed to not being able to do the classic plus you want because what they think you want is a struggle fest casino with an RPG attached

These are not RPG people they’re not people who care about class immersion. They don’t care about the coziness of hearing your foot pads as you run for a half an hour to your next flight path. All they care about is being better than you and encouraging people who also are incentivized by being better than you

The game needs to be easy enough that even a drunk idiot can join your group and not be too big of a burden on youand I know that sounds an asthma and makes you wanna hurry Kari, but that’s just how it is facts don’t care about your feelings

I agree with you when you suggested that maybe we should’ve never added new continents or maybe we shouldn’t have added so many continents. I totally agree with anything along those lines. But other than that classic plus could just be retail except gear caps out in normal raiding and mythic zero and maybe the combat is re-engineered back into auto attacks I know nobody wants to hear this, but classic works because it’s a social network with an RPG attached

From the chat in this game, we got cultural staples like QQ probably Gg and KEK and probably a bunch of other stuff. That’s what made the game fun and also the gameplay stimulated that by being easy enough that an idiot can do it but dangerous enough that you’d rather have people helping you.

I'm watching this as we're in Phase 6 of SoD and we're getting Classic Fresh on November 21st. I really wanna go through vanilla again so I'm glad they're celebrating 20 years this way. I still haven't experienced vanilla endgame and would like to, even if the argument is that it's all about the journey.

Well, what a dumb comment... First of all, "if every iteration of wow didnt suck" ... if they all suck... why you even wanna play wow? Second: Turtle wow is a good iteration according to you?! LOL. A fanfic server, with fanfic content that goes headbutt against the lore. Cramfull of crap that a child would come up with... Is like they bolting parts of a corpse to another corpse... there is another room for a dungeon that was perfect the way it was in 2005.. why? Because we dont have ideas so lets just add crap. Let me tell you. Every expansion ever have had its pros and cons. Most have more pros then cons. Is pretty much like everything in life. Except for Shadowlands... there they realy shat the bed full on, no excuses. They had gold in their hands with the possibilities and ended up turning it into a turd. A giant turd. I had fun in shadowlands, but it was thanks to me playing with my girlfriend, and thus we had lots of great moments and fun. But man, seriously wtf where they thinking there. However, other then that, even BFA had a kickass campaing and is chokefull of great moments i am glad i did play through. Look up the Jaina's prugatory cinematic here in YT from when she was trappeb in the blightedlands... man, that was so fucking cool. Anyway. have fun playing not-classic and going over the same content but worst lol.

I felt the same however after jumping into retail and giving it a shot, its just a damn fun game. Monetisation apart which i dont agree with in terms of boosts and wow token etc its just a good product and its clear Blizzard are now listening to players and improving the actual game. But hey the wow token used to get me free gametime before all my WoD gold reserves ran dry. Worth noting some real classic andies like Shobek and Xaryu absolutely loving the new expac and they were previously very vocal on retail being dogshit previously. Would love to see you try retail again and give a review.

I couldn't agree more when it comes to loving the old art style. Not just for Orcs but all the races. And i've recognized this over the last year or so after dipping into Classic/SOD and Turtle WoW. So many of the races includes Humans, Dwarves, Orcs, Tauren and others feel and look totally different after the WOD update. The old charm was lost and never recaptured.

The difference between this and the Troll video is WoW trolls are the most unique take _on trolls, _ something well established in folklore and fantasy settings. The Draenei however is completely unique to WoW nothing comes close.

I think that the ONLY way Classic+ will succeed & be well received *at all,* is for the Classic Enjoyers themselves to make it; through the approval of content decided upon via poll. Additionally, much as how add-on developers solved Blizz's problems from them, I think that *WE, Ourselves* need to be able to MAKE Classic + through *Franchised Server Liscenses.* They should have been selling those for more than a decade now.

That's hilarious... like private server wont sell you pay to win stuff... some going as far as sell you max level geared characters. Besides, no matter how good anyone recreates vanilla.... the problem is the community... the spirit of the game is not the same because the players mentality has changed so much since 2005. The only way to play a version of classic wow where you could actualy get the true experience and feels of the og wow, would be if you had a time machine.

I think the idea to do Classic+ [after] vanilla -- post TBC or WoTLK is totally tone-deaf. You've missed the point. There's a reason the game drops off on all private servers at that point. The problem is flying mounts. Flying mounts and arena [ruin] the PvP experience for the super-majority of players. This is why TBC and WoTLK both fall off every time people, including Blizzard, try to do progressive gameplay. As fun as it is for someone to win in arena and get a high rating, and have definitive proof of their superiority -- the majority will never achieve that. The dead-weight carry system of 40 people in a raid, and the PvP system based on sustained effort rather than skill is what [makes] Classic more popular. There is no way around that. You've completely missed the point, sir. The game [cannot] survive flying mounts in their existing implementation, though I think allowing them to be mounted at flight-paths might work.. but otherwise? No. You missed the beat, sir. This whole video is off. The level increases COMPLETELY destroy "high levels function in the world beside low levels" that existed in Vanilla Classic. It's impossible to work in the frame you've setup in this video. If Arcanite isn't important, most of the zones in Classic stop mattering. The economy stops mattering. If a healer 5 or 10 levels lower can't throw a heal that matters on a max level player ... You've missed the entire point. And the hitpoint scaling between TBC and Wrath completely destroys that. Go back and do your math again.
