I grew up with Clint Eastwood movies. He was the best. When I created my coffee catering truck in LA, Like A Boss (since sold it but it is still in business), I used his most famous line and changed it slightly to " Go ahead, make my latte", and people loved it. The man who created that character, John Milius(who created Conan, Apocalypse Now), years later his ex-wife Cillia, saw my truck at a fund-raising event and stopped me to take a photo of the graphic on the truck. I sent her a t-shirt. Everyone loves Clint!

Clint Eastwood is a 100 million dollar baby... awesome guy.

It sounds to me he's mainly a visual/technical guy and not much of an actor's director. Which isn't to say that the performances in his films are bad, it just seems as though it isn't his biggest priority on set (which makes sense, given the types of films he makes).

I really like Tom Hardy, but it's a massive bit of hyperbole for Hathaway to call him one of the best actors of his generation or of all time...lol He is always him, which is fine, and he is talented, a lot like Cillian Murphy. Cillian is never a nice guy, he is a quiet guy... he acts shy but he isn't, he is always watching... he has more range than Hardy and it shows. If he can do comedy he will be one of the greats, but I wanna see Bale get his Oscar!!!

Tom Hardy has gotten big, and he bulked up for his role in Batman, and it cracks me up to see his reaction to Bale and talking about fighting scenes with him.

There's a saying for ground floor workers. The best Forman's are the ones that used to be ground floor workers. I'm starting to feel it might be the same for directors. The ones that used to be actors knows the drills, knows how the actors feel. And do a better job with the actors. Course this isn't true in all cases, and there's many good Forman's and directors that do amazing work having never been ground floor workers or actors.
