I feel like this deck is solid but can definitely see it struggling against decks like lost box, gardevoir, and ancient box. Other decks like charizard and dragapult would be tough as well since okidogi ex caps out at 300 damage so maybe something like kieran might help reach those numbers. Overall I think this will be good into multiple prize decks like raging bolt ogerpon but will heavily struggle against the other decks I mentioned due to them playing as single prize decks. Great video and content as always Rahul.

I made a good point about this argument which made a lot of people understand why Pokemon is easier than other competetive events to reach the world stage. Pokemon is unlike any other esport in that the franchise Pokemon came before the tcg and the tcg along with its championships and worlds event are all purely for marketing their franchise. Pokemon is marketed towards children and even allows children to compete in their competitions at the highest level, also not just children but they want Pokemon to be accessible by as many people as possible. Compared to all other esports on a competetive stage, every other card game and esport was designed with the championship structure in mind as part of the entire product, whereas Pokemon came first and then the tcg came after to promote the franchise. While it’s understandable that we want to compare Pokemon world championships to league of legends for example and just have the best of the best compete each year on the main screen, this would have negative effects on the accessibility of the tcg if they make it too hard for players to qualify for premier events and worlds. For whatever the number of cards printed of all time was, 50 billion. Maybe, I can’t remember the number, less than 1% of those are used by people to play the game and the people who don’t play the game don’t even realise you can play the cards as a game. Making accessibility to difficult for players to attend these world class conventions would just turn people off playing the game and majority of players would just go back to collecting and not care about playing the tcg. Making it more difficult to qualify for the world stage is not only limited to increasing the championship point requirement but also making it so that countries with less events are required to travel and spend an absorbent amount of $ going to overseas events just to try and chase points because their countries don’t have that many premier events or IC (oce had their Ic removed). I agree to a point that it shouldn’t be easy for people to qualify for the world championships to increase quality of their players, I don’t think it should be to the extent that some countries players are forced to travel overseas because their local premier events will not give enough championship points to qualify them for an invite, even with placing in top 16-32.
