Hi, Rahul. Thank you for sharing this update, even though it doesn't seem you were too enthusiastic to make it. I think it's important and helpful that others see and understand that even pro PTCG players have "off" days and things don't go as expected. We can practice, study, and do all in our power to prepare but once Game Day comes, it's a new experience. Sometimes it goes well, and sometimes it doesn't. And that's alright - that's the game. When you met me and my son at the second tournament, he was coming in pretty shaken up after going 0-4 at a local juniors tournament on Friday. As you said, I guess after being used to regularly winning (top 5) at our weekly local standard tournament he might have taken things for granted. He wasn't in a good place mentally and I was concerned the losses were affecting him personally. But I wanted to lovingly encourage him as a parent to not give up, and keep showing up. I kept telling him, "You never know what can happen, but if you want to find out you have to BE there." This video SO coincided with what he was going through leading up to the event. Thank you for making this! In the end, he was so glad he came as well as myself. He told me he met some really cool seniors and Masters, played against decks he's never seen before, and learned a ton about the game! He also got so many Pokemon packs that I had to buy a new binder! And of course, meeting you was pretty neat in itself. 🤩 You have an amazing memory. I'm in awe of the summary of your match-ups! Knock it out of the park at LA and NAIC!

You are going to worlds. That is more than I can say for the group I'm in. The best thing I can say is find a deck that you like and stick with that for the time being. Not being top 16 in NA doesn't matter anymore, go out play the game, have fun and know you inspire people.

Holy wow, that's a lot of complex and stressful social bull to deal with just trying to play pokemon. Taking it in stride like you did is admirable. As a fellow autistic person, i really cant overstate enough that you didn't make this about that. Hope this never happens again

I haven’t set something like that up yet, but I think I can do that after NAIC wraps up (a little busy until then) something like 30 minutes and half my normal price on MetaFy ect
