This is exactly whats going on in offices these days. The demand is ridiculous, impractical and defies physics of this universe. And all who are supposed to understand a task are least bothered of the actual result. They are kissing a***s and nodding their head. Whoever says "no" is just thrown out of their position.

First and foremost - this is great writing and acting. I must add, however, that I've worked for people who are just this frustratingly inept.

This was my working situation in the company Flextronics international, the first 2 years I tried really hard to make the idiots to understand, the rest of my time amongst them I just screwed them, after 3 years of screwing i found a better job and left this company full of idiots and left a big mess behind.

That's sad, I just discovered this video today, and... this is what I'm experiencing everyday... The only part that isn't shown there is the fact that of course the expert gets less money that the monkeys "brainstorming".

This is how actual corporate bureaucracy works. Or, more precisely, fails to work.

Part of the problem here, aside from them being mindless bureaucrats created by corporate law, is that he's terrible at explaining and communicating with them. He fails to explain what perpendicular means, fails to explain the he thinks of lines as being straight, where is they are thinking of a line drawing of a kitchen, et cetera.

This is why we are failing as a civilisation, stupid people in charge because as engineers we want to get on with engineering and not management otherwise absolutely nothing would get done at all. This rings so true for anyone that has ever worked in a corporate environment these days, thank god I no longer do.

Now, if the lines were not drawn on a plane, but rather on a three dimensional surface, say, in the shape of a kitten (particularly a balloon shaped as a kitten), all seven lines could be perpendicular to each other. Then the chromatography could be defined as shades of red, ranging from "transparent" to "green", but still (obviously) defined as "red". My onsite visit will take three weeks, including a, eighteen day stopover in Hawaii to study possible alternative shapes, such as roasted pigs, pineapples, and surfboards...
