Honestly, with the USB-C and Micro HDMI on the right side, there isn't much to rig out with the S9 considering it becomes quite uncomfortable to use with ports open haha. Man if only the ports would've been placed on the left it would have unlocked the potential of the S9 even more.

Thanks for the video, I agree that the BMPCC4K is still awesome even in 2024! I completely disagree with your statement that 'the BMPCC4K is bad in low light'. For me, the BMPCC4K is really fantastic in Low Light, especially when you flick it over to 1250 ISO! In a low light situation, switching to 1250 ISO makes the shadows super clean. Not every low light scene needs to be shot at 3200 ISO, so using 1250 ISO in conjunction with lens aperture, ND & light level, can provide very crisp clean low light results.

Great video! Been researching the Lumix S9 for content capturing when I DJ weddings, specifically photos and videos of my set up and dancing. Have you noticed any rolling shutter issues since the S9 has an electronic shutter, particularly when you’re recording video during dancing?

The only time you'll really notice the rolling shutter if you swing your camera quickly past a straight object, like a lamp post. Dancing isn't noticeable at all really as movement in people is variable.

Hey Jeremy love your videos! I'm currently deciding between using the Lumix S Primes vs the Sigma 18-35mm for Wedding Films. I currently only own the 35mm and used in combination with the 16-28mm and 28-70mm lenses from Sigma, but considering either using 18-35-85mm from the Lumix Prime line or the 18-35mm.. Since you have experience with most of those lenses what would you recommend? Cheers and please keep making videos! :)

I use the Sigma 18-35 as a ff on my A7iii between 28-35mm. I was wondering if one can hack the s5xII to get it to treat the sigma 18-35 as a FF lens as on the SH1 in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4Wpl6tqfdljp80&pp=ygUYbHVtaXggczVpaXggc2lnbWEgMTgtMzUg . If it works I am giving some serious thought to buying the S5iix and the mc-21 sigma adaptor. If you could be so kind as to try it out and let us know how it goes I would be so grateful!

Okay real talk, Smallrig AD-50 vs the Manfrotto. I’ve used that Manfrotto for work, and was my first choice for getting one for myself. I hear good things about the small rigs, but even though they are said to be light, they still look huge, and the twists look inconvenient.

Really , you have to use a crop lens for 4K 60fps? Thinking about buying this camera. Coming from the X-H2S from Fuji so the crop is something I’m used to. But I wouldn’t think you should have to use a crop lens for video in 4K or ProRes.

Advanced Transport Canada Drone Pilot here, the drone shot at 5:49 is illegal. You are flying around Parliament, which is Class F airspace. The only legal way to fly around Parliament is with an SFOC. It doesn't matter if your drone is below 250 grams, still illegal. You should take this down so you dont get a $5,000 fine from Transport Canada 😮 nice video 👍
@jeremybfilmsАй бұрын
Well that's great to know, I've added a huge blur on that section, it'll take a while to register. Thank you!
@jeremybfilmsАй бұрын
Upon further research: Drone pilots must have a Special Flight Operations Certificate to fly near or over advertised events, such as outdoor concerts, parades, and sporting events. Which was not the case here. And The airspace over Parliament Hill is a no-fly zone. Recreational drones are strictly prohibited. Parliament Hill and the area within a 0.75-mile radius belong to a restricted airspace (CYR537). I was not at parliament hill and I was certainly a safe distance from it. So I would have been fine, and also the DJI app wouldn't have let me take off if it was restricted in the area I was in.

Awesome video Jeremy! I like that your gear isn't just about simplicity but about efficiency. Neewer often gets a bad rap for being cheap within the pro market but a Neewer stand is so much lighter than a c-stand is to carry. I'm in the hybrid shooting space so I'm definitely taking notes from you, ESPECIALLY connecting your zoom recorder to your DJI mic. I'm borrowing that idea big time!
