Such a sweet + happy song from the 1970s! I remember hearing it on the radio (as a kid) & seeing Sonny + Cher sing it on their TV variety show. So charming & relatable! 🎶❤️🎶

such a great era this - I remember watching top of the pops and being about 12. Same time as people like vesta Williams once bitten twice shy - loads of class acts - same time Chaka khan was live on the tube with a blistering set - and people could write, and play live - what happened?

Smokey imitated the harmony vocal from Sam Cooke’s Bring It On Home To Me (sung by Lou Rawls) on the verses here, sung by Miracle Bobby Moore. Listen back to back and you can hear it.

Amazing film. Alan Klien's songs are catchy and funny and theres a working class grit that's missing from other Joe Brown films (eg 'Three Hats For Lisa'). Wish there was a tape of the Beatles doing the song 'What A Crazy World' (It was in their set for a couple of months in 1962 - George sang it, like he did when The Beatles did another Joe Brown song 'Wonderful Picture Of You' on the radio in 1962)

As RAF veteran myself I have alot of respect for jim. Hes done so much for the RAF. My late Father was Bomber Command pilot. They had abuse for years because the annihilation of Dresden became an embarrassment. So many airmen died but they never had a memorial. Jim and the late Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees. who were besties for many many years, were asked to do the charity appeal to get the memorial to Bomber Command built, they raised £12million. He's a photographer - Jim Dooley Living pictures, an acclaimed aviation photograper working very closely with the RAF and wildlife photographer. His pictures are fantastic particularly the air to air shots. Hes been commissioned by many high profile clients. Still humble as ever, still smile to die for in his 70's !!. Lovely Lovely guy. The boy done well😂.. .. .the girls stayed in South Africa. They've been there decades did shows with their family . Jim and Frank have stayed in UK. I worked for BBC on the Seaside Specials...in the 70s. Big acts outside in British summer freezing, gale force winds or inside the Circus Big Top. Hilarious, that's how I first met Jim 3 lifetimes ago.😂😂 Where did the years go to. 😢 Happy times.

Loved this back in 78, still got the vinyl single! Funny how a song like this can still sound so great 47 years on. Those were the days, if only we could go back in time to the 70s !!

This was one of the very first vinyl singles that I bought in November/December 1977 from HMV Bond Street here in London, and like your good yourself have still got it in my collection. My favourite Dooley's song by a mile. The 70s will always be my favourite decade.
