Fascinating . The girls make the costumes , and work out the dance routines . The boys write the songs and work out the arrangements . During the week they run a chip shop .

Beautiful lady ! In 1977, I was fortunate to have played the drums for Bobbie in her production shows at the Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas. The next year, 1978, returning to Las Vegas with a whole new show, we played at the Aladdin Hotel and comedian Jim Stafford performed with Bobbie. Bobbie Gentry was a wonderful, marvelous person to know and performed with consummate elegance.

My cousin was always singing this song and though I had never heard the song I soon was singing along and it would take me many years before I would hear the real thing but I sang it often. One day I found the LP for less than a dollar and I was so happy to hear the real thing;)

Just can't imagine anyone other male vocals for this song and Jennifer's mastery and ability to compliment his voice is unmatchable.

Someone has a false memory. GK&P didn't record this until spring 1973. It reached #1 in Oct. '73. It was originally written by Jim Weatherly, a friend of Lee Majors, whose girlfriend was reevaluating her own career when Jim called Lee and Farrah answered. She told him she was packing to catch the midnight plane to Houston. Jim took that line and wrote MIDNIGHT PLANE TO HOUSTON - now you know.

She really sang her bud off, 100% powerful. Agree not easy to match her voice live like this. As always tough crowd at the Apollo but she nailed big.

Darling, when you touch my hand Who needs words to understand 'Cause my love, my eyes convey Oh everything I wanna say Ooh you mean more than life to me There's no place I'd rather be Darling, say you'll always stay by my side Oh love of my life That's what you mean to me My sweetness and light you are all I need As years come and go the closer we'll grow 'Cause you'll always be The love of my life Every time you hold me tight (hold me tight) Oh girl, you know it feels so right Never felt like this before Now like a child I beg for more Love is tender, love is strong Without love I can't go on Darling, say you'll always stay by my side Oh love of my life That's what you mean to me My sweetness and light you are all I need As years come and go the closer we'll grow 'Cause you'll always be The love of my life As years come and go the closer we'll grow 'Cause you'll always be The love of my life (love of my life) Yes, you'll always be The love of my life (love of my life) You'll always be The love of my life (love of my life) Yes, you'll always be The love of my life (love of my life)
