Air cooled bikes were bad to seize if ran hard cold ,, I would let it get more heat in it before hitting it hard

the sound of a 2 stroke, ripping along, imagine trying to ride like that with a 4, ha, sadly, no ripping like a 2 stroke; one of the greatest joys is ripping through a fresh plowed field and feeling the rear tire sink and propel you like a rocket forward,,,,,,,,,,,

Wow! I had that same bike as a teenager. I remember it being really fast. Good times back then. I would love to get a vintage bike like that but my wife says no. So I guess I'll just stick with my fuel injected four strokes that we have today.

Where's the metal gas tank? I had a 78' yz80E & it had a metal tank. Must of been when they switched to plastic. I also had a 76' yz100D with a metal tank. Your right about the "F" at the end of 250. My cousin had 1 just like yours. Seems like his had a plastic tank too.

Now thats a sick restoration! you must have put alot of cash into that. some good ideas. i love those old yz's. i just bought a 1990 250 yz... i want a yellow 125 or 250 someday.
