It's not necessarily your guitar being out of tune that's a problem, but you are hitting the higher strings on accident whenever you're picking. While it could be fixed by just practicing to not overshoot, another simple solution is to always rest your palm on the higher strings to prevent it from happening. At least, from my experience.

Yes I'm still a beginner tbh, I'm just trying new stuff and improving as I go. I do take all the advice (with a grain of salt for some of course). I'm learning all on my own!

@@ceoofboxing8201 I suggest learning something like "Paraniod" by Black Sabbath as that song basically is a learning tool on playing smooth, in time, and how to chug properly.

Hey man, I've been playing for 14 years (I'm 28), try to hold the pick with the tip of your thumb and index finger, Try less thumb. Make sure to not develop bad habits! Believe me, they're hard to break. I wish you luck with your endeavors, you're doing great so far!

8 months self taught guitarist here. Your setup is pretty similar to mine but I have a worn down Yamaha strat instead of a Fender squier, looks awesome. Keep up the good work

Damn, 1 arm pushups actually are quite amazing for 8 months progress. Years ago I was mixing gym calisthenics, was working out for like half a year but I was nowhere near doing one arm pushup. The rest of the things you did I could probably manage at that time.
