I have no doubt it will but seriously though your three weeks is most people's 3 months, it looks as if you may be familiar with another instrument or this isn't your first time trying to learn guitar. Either way can't wait to see where you go, I expect to see you sweep picking in a month at this rate.

First time ever learning an instrument. People do say I learn really quickly so I guess it applies here. Combine that with a good teacher and I guess that I make insane progress! As of writing this comment I can almost do the beginning of the intro lead of One. I'll post a video very soon about it.

man you are great and ur ahead of most peoples third week of playing guitar. I would recommend you to see how to position your thumb while playing (for eg at 1:26 it wasnt at the optimal position ) just an advice

it took me so much longer to confidently hold a pic and be able to slide to a correct note like your doing keep up the practice and learning new songs and styles one thing i wish someone told me was don’t be afraid to play “wrong” you’ll realize down the line it could just be your own style and progression all along

If you are curious about recording and different sounds a software plugin such as amplitube and reaper or studio one can really expand your arsenal and allow you to record and play with headphones or a speaker. Ah, the ol' "gotta make sure my pick sits right in my hand before playing". I still hold my pick like a moron because I can't switch. Props to you for switching. Also you might wanna do something about not having fret markers, those are essential to starting guitar.

I have the markers on top of the frets themselves. You can't see them but I can. Yeah I switched my picking stance about 3 days ago and it's so much better. A tip is to literally force yourself to switch because I wouldn't have switched if it wasn't for me literally just not playing until I found a comfortable and good stance. Thanks for the advice !

try with a metronome, and slower. It's the key for a good playing. Also, improvise and play your scale in disorder.

I planned on doing that very soon since my speed exceeds 60 rpm without making any mistakes. Thank you for the tips! It feels like it's my father speaking too since he gave me that exact same advice!

so good for 3 weeks. Dont fall in love with the pentatonic too early or youll burn youself out. Learn some bar chord songs. sounds good tho bro!

I do other stuff on the side that I haven't shown too. I decide to show the pentatonic because that's what I showed in my first guitar vid. Itll be used to compare my global skill and speed. I'll also throw a couple riffs that I'm still learning in there as I keep practicing. Many many more to come!

These are my dad's! None of the stuff I'm showing is mine. The guitar was taking dust because my dad stopped playing for a very long time. He decided to start playing and he always wanted to teach me. Now its been three weeks and that guitar that was once his is basically mine since he bought an Ibanez prestige for himself. He refuses to admit that it's my guitar now but it's basically that! At some point, I'll buy my own stuff but Im nowhere near that!

My dad made me see that mistake Yesterday. I'm changing my picking and only my wrist moves and my arm only moves when I need to reach a note that I can't reach. I'm still learning this because it's basically changing my whole picking style but I'm adapting very quickly!

I feel like you're trying with all your might to get every note right. Try to let go of that and just play through the mistakes a little more. Slow will become smooth, smooth will become fast. Keep up the good work

For these videos, I do try to hit my notes right to demonstrate where I am. When I practice, I absolutely let myself make mistakes. When I do the pentatonic, I don't stop when I make mistakes, I just keep going and it's getting better very quickly. I do agree with the speed though!
