@nocontrolrc829019 күн бұрын
@spambunny123 just check for loose nuts then put a battery in it and give it a shakedown. Listen for strange noises and any strange driving characteristics. If all feels and sounds good, then you can do a teardown on your own schedule.

Seems like most Upgrades are expensive for any truck in this hobby. I'm not looking forwards to breaking it. Too bad they dont have an "ultimate" version which would come with all the goodies.
@MisterFriendly9926 күн бұрын
@ if you drive it within reason for the scale that it is you shouldn’t run into any huge problems. Just upgrading for fun will double the out the door cost in the blink of an eye. With reasonable driving you should be able to enjoy it on stock parts for a long time. Such a good truck. IMO it doesn’t get any better for scale desert trucks.

My only gripe about the UDR over my years of ownership is with the ESC. Specifically, after it does a firmware update. When I first bought the truck I could power it on and off via the power button on the ESC. After a firmware update - which was required to use the bluetooth module - I could no longer power the ESC off with the power button. After some research I found this was intentional, to keep people from turning the ESC off and leaving the batteries plugged in. This is fine on something like an XMaxx or E-Revo or something, but on a UDR that's an enormous pain in the ass. If you drive it in any kind of dirt, the battery door will jam. It is nearly impossible to remove it without a flathead screwdriver. This means you now need a tool to remove your battery door. Which is on the bottom of the truck... So yes. That means to turn the truck off, you have to turn a 15 pound truck over, use a tool to remove the battery door and then disconnect the batteries. That actually makes it a pain to drive. It's annoying beyond words and that alone means I drive this truck a lot less than I would otherwise.
