I have a 2011 Red Impala. Same symptoms. Also, the fluid is Burnt and then some. The transmission is also makes a whining sound. (Torque Convertor or Pump) I have 205,000 miles on it. It still runs just fine (minus the hesitation on take off) Should I pay 4,000 to repair the transmission or should I junk it. I really think the motor will take me to 400K easy.

Glue traps efficacy is dependent upon the environment. A dusty or damp environment with lower effectiveness. The best traps are rat zapper 🌩 type traps. Rat/mouse goes inside, and it's "over" before they know it. Device beeps to alert you to despose of mouse and reset trap.

0397002 part number for your cable if you have the short tiller long tiller is 0397003 41” cable these cables are pricey long or short I have a stock of the 397002 if you need one I’ll ship it for 50$ new In original packaging retainer clip included I have multiple short Tiller handles of the same style you were showing in the video and I also have four of the evinrude OMC LONG Tiller handles. took me almost 5 years to get four of the long Tiller handles in my possession. They are definitely a rare commodity. now the big thing is the Evinrude E-TEC Big Tiller. Let me know if you need any parts or a cable. I have no issue shipping you one out.

Thanks for sharing. I had a question I’m going through my rollers and my stern keel roll metal bar is bent and I notice it’s bit higher then my boat is that normal? Or should the roller be below the keel of the boat?

I like the precision of your line counter, noting that it's really not when the line is down near the bottom of the spool. But I think there's a better way of loading a spool than this, just using a separate line counter that actually measures line rather than estimating. Try this way. With the spool empty, measure on exactly as much good braid that you intend to use, maybe an exact half, third or quarter of the spool. Then join your backing and wind on how much it takes to fill the spool to where you like it. Then you wind off all the line again onto a spare spool, then again across to a second spare spool. Then finally back onto your reel where all your braid is now in top AND you know EXACTLY how much is there (and how much remains). Nothing worse than winding on new braid and discovering there was actually lees there than you thought. An extension to that - wind off all the braid cutting the knot, onto a spare spool and then across to another spare spool. Then back onto the reel and the least used braid is now on top.

Finally got mine apart and everything looks ok. Bolt for the drive shaft was a little loose. Does the cam follower need the inner spring in it to hold against the cam shifter?

Tried heating the lower gear case to get the bearing holder out but it didn’t work. Any other advice on methods to get it apart? Working on a 1974 mercury 200 20hp that just out of gear at full throttle under load.

Love story tellers me too. And love yr shirt! And I have done the same bought an old boat dit everything to restore and upgrade. After two years the motor I got with it was 50 HP Johnson was working great when I tried it. But after I got it back on the boat it has intermittent spark. Haven't been able to get it working.

I am in uncharted territory with a 1982 Johnson 15. The shaft is broken just below the upper spline. Do I have to pull the powerhead, or can I remove the midsection to get to it? I have never done either so pardon my ignorance.

If you take the batteries out by the house you can use the JF Egwo to run the trim down in the shed. No more hauling the heavy batteries all the way back to the house.

You should not be messing around inside the turn signal plugs or sockets. Like trailer harnesses, wire taps should be used to access the turn signals. The black casing needs to be trimmed back to make room that allow access to the wires. The way you have it wired by removing the turn signal bulb your added wire falls out ! A bad idea in which a good electrical connection is not guaranteed and it is also not weather-proof. No silicone needs to be used. You should at least use that rubber plug. It should have a hole in it in which a wire can be threaded through. If it doesn't, then make one like the other 2 plugs that have wires through them. // On another note, having the new turn signals instantly turn on and off, but the original turn bulbs take their time looks out of place. The incandescent turn signal bulbs should be replaced with LED bulbs so they match the flash profile of the added LED turn signals.
