These 2 are the most entertaining bald eagles, very vocal with each other. Just love watching their antics. So adorable. I think Jackie was wanting fish for dinner. Thanks SKH, another great video of our beloved couple.❤

What happened to the bond between Thunder and Akecheta?

Akecheta was injured in a territorial dispute nearly 3 weeks ago. The cameras then went out for 2 weeks. When they came back on, we saw that the new male, Makaio had bonded with Thunder. Akecheta's current whereabouts are unknown.

All that wind made me feel a little bit seasick! But that didn't stop our lovebirds from stick fidgeting. I'm guessing that Jackie would have liked a feeesh gift rather than a stick fest. Thank you for the video capture, SKH--J&S are always a delight to watch.

Spouses will do that to you, when you least expect it. Poor Shadow, he makes a quick recovery, though, and takes the hint. It’s Jackie’s shift. Thanks SKH for capturing these precious moments for us❤

Poor Chet 🦅 💔 I hope he was able to fly off is recovering from his wounds 😞 Nature is so hard. I hope too that Makaio treats Thunder like the queen 👑 she is

If Akecheta survived then he has probably left for other territories , otherwise he might not have survived the injury . There was after all a lot of blood around his face.

Poor Shadow..that was a quick reaction from unsuspecting Shadow. He relinquished egg duty quickly...must have been "annoyed" by being startled. 😕

I was just about to heed the call of my nice warm bed when I spied the perfect night-night vid, complete with Shadow snortles and Jackie arriving to take over egg duty. Hilarious fluff fussing by our favorite lovebirds. Wishing them and you, SKH, a very peaceful and restful sleep!

@alexandrabda5956 I know they looked from the water, but could not see that area from the boat. When Dr. Sharpe was there fixing the cameras, he probably had a look around and then the cameras operators have done sweeps of the area. It’s very sad not knowing for sure Chet’s whereabouts.

I'm happy that Thunder is happy.... Makaio seems to be pretty kewl... and they seem happy together... I hope they make lots of beautiful eaglets in the future.

Yesterday morning I was dozing in my nice warm bed listening to NPR on my trusty old radio when I heard lovely chortles and twerples! Thought I was dreaming at first but no--it was Jackie and Shadow being featured by NPR with an interview by FOBBV's Sandy! I was lucky Jackie didn't do her FEEEESH call or I probably would've fallen out of bed! Thank you for the video, SKH--girl sure loves her fish! And Shadow always provides!

Male feeding the female: so far only the John Bunker Wetlands does so daily (he did so even before laying the eggs), then M15 also has done so many times. Beau and Alex II at Kisatchie E3 have now started this ritual, both first-time dads. Great to witness
