Questions: You mentioned not wanting to turn your hobbies into a job but have you ever been paid by, or paid someone to paint a model? Are there any painting techniques that you’ve always struggled with and just can’t seem to get the hang of? (for me it’s dry brushing) And the last slightly silly question, you’ve shown off your most expensive model but have you ever gotten any models or box sets for a really, really low price?

In answer to your question: Monetize if you like. Even if you don't go the professional You-tuber route. Those pennies add up, so take what you can, even if only for the occasional extra model or paint or something. Nearly everyone I watch has ads. One more won't matter. Now for my questions: Would you do a video about assembling a metal mini for noobs? (prep, clean-up, pinning, tools etc.) Which painters inspire(d) you or taught you the most? Besides painting and reading, do you have any other hobbies, creative or otherwise?

You didn't make it. You did't buy it. You're not selling it. There's no dilema. Nothing wrong with simply possessing a forgery, only in trying to profit off it at another's expense. Far as I'm concerned, you could even sell it, as long as you made it clear that it's not authentic, and priced it accordingly. I remember when people were losing their minds over recasts of Confrontation minis, back when. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on some higher quality recasts of those now. People want silly money for the originals.

I have never seen this model before. A metal base seems wild. Has to be a heavy beast.

It's out of production so I doubt GW would care and cast in a different material so I doubt it would be mistaken for a genuine collectors item which would be the only issue anyone should be concerned about from a buyers standpoint.

A model is a model. Stop being autistic. You owe GW nothing and you shouldn't be crying for 10 minutes over if you should use models you own or not to play games. You own it, use it, stop making so much noise.

I actually still have the old metal Gaunt's Ghosts models, I loved the book series. But wow never seen the diorama before, lucky you got your hands on one.

Yeah, I'd just keep them tbh. Now you've got a diorama set, and ones to game with; that if they get knocked about a bit, you'll not be too bothered about.

Some of the Old World MTO minis I got from gw have been worse quality than recasts so I get whichever I can afford/is available to me

Play with them. I just brought a hours heresy model to my GW store today that was recast and they didn't mention or notice.

I've personally recasted pieces to use for basing as I wasn't going to waste an entire guardsman's torso just to drill it out and have empty flak armor when I could use it to make an actual guardsman, so I cast the bit and drill out the recast which is worth nothing However I find it odd that whilst I'm perfectly fine with 3d printed & recast remakes of oop bits like hostile environment helmets from forge world sets of legs or torsos of the classic guardsmen for actual figures just feels wrong to use leading to figures where i had even made legs for my spare torsos getting broken up and the plastic put back in the parts bin Really, i think so long as there's no deception it's fine but for my personal preference i refuse to use fully recast minis (again, probably will get recasted or 3d printed forge world cadian upgrades because not only is it not sold anymore but I'm not spending $300 for ones on ebay)
