Great information!! Thank you I am new to Az …. I would like to plant Lantana on the east and north side of my home…. i am looking for your definition of full sun … during the hot summer would the lantana thrive in that sunlight?

They are all so beautiful! Thanks for sharing how to cut them. We are in Wisconsin so they are annuals but grow crazy with weekly fertilizer from Beat Your Neighbor 10-10-10.❤❤

Just discovered these gorgeous plants - I live in Canada so they're sold as an annual in gardencentres. Seeing your bushes almost makes me want to move south! But I would miss the snow. lol

I’m new to gardening, how many, on average, to form a hedge like you have in the video?

I have multiple lantana plants thanks to my dad who grew more from a huge lantana bush at his old house. I’m thinking about putting those bushes in front of my house (instead of regular green bushes). Can you describe how many bushes you have in the video - how many makes up the red bush, etc.? I’m trying to figure out how many I need to form a nice, beautiful bush (almost a hedge) like you have. How much space do you recommend between each bush? I’m new at gardening so if my questions aren’t answerable as is, I will try to better explain what I mean. Any help is most appreciated. Lantana thrives where I am in SC and just add is much wonderful color. Your lantana are incredible. Wow!

I use the powder form yesterday. do I water my garden today ?
@ruthie_rosario
@ruthie_rosario 4 ай бұрын
Unlike the granular form, Sevin powder is rendered useless if it gets wet. You can water the ground while being sure to avoid getting the stems and leaves wet, while avoiding applying the dust near any petals (if they are flowers). You have to apply Sevin powder on a weekly basis because the powder usually gets washed away with regular watering schedules.

Are all sprinklers removed by twisting it out? Are they never glued? I tried to twist mine loose but it seems stuck….i need to add a riser to it bc it was underground this year when I un-winterized it

We prefer our plants to have a more natural look. This is especially true with Abelias. Turning them into shaped meatballs or formal hedges is painful to see. Anyway, we're looking at Lantana for the first time here in Central Texas, and we will be going with the Bandana series. Those generally grow 1.5-2' high and wide, so a much more compact Lantana than most other varieties. Given their smaller size, I am not sure whether I will need to remove any meristems for growth control.

Your lawn is on point. What part of Arizona do you live in? Thinking of moving to phoenix but I been hearing people can’t do lawn care because due to the water restrictions!
@czrs85
@czrs85 6 ай бұрын
We don't have water restrictions like Florida. The irrigation systems we all have meet the guidelines and have no problem. Sure we don't just waste water, but that doesn't mean we can't keep our lawns green like a local golf course.

Now that's what a call a lawn. Come to San Antonio and teach some of my lazy neighbors how to care for their tiny lawns. I can't understand why people buy brand new houses and neglect the front (and back). The front is seen by everyone and directly affects the whole neighborhood.

I’m in Houston, Texas. I am a nut for color coordinating my areas: cool pinks, purples, whites in front yard; warm reds, yellows, whites in back. But I keep the lantana in a natural controlled size, paired with crepe myrtles, caladium, vinca, liriope, day-lilies, and some evergreens.

Hi! I am in Houston as well. I just purchased a whitevLantana from Cornelias today. I'm wondering how hardy the white plant may be...?
@teddieryan2288
@teddieryan2288 8 ай бұрын
@@coletteterrasson5350 I find that lantana are really very heat and sun tolerant here. Not so much in Virginia where I lived for over forty years. Easy to grow and prolific bloomers. But they grow fast in the summer, so I prune them once a month to keep them on the smaller side. Whites are very pretty. HOWEVER…they so not like deep cold snaps in teens or below. This last winter they all died down to the ground. All but two have come back from the root.

Thanks! However, there's way to much wasted time on completely obvious stuff. Yes. We know how to dig a hole! There's about 42 seconds of useful information; the rest is "fluff". We are too busy repairing our sprinklers to sit and watch your artistic composition. Sorry.

Awesome video for sure! I know it's been a couple years since you premiered this video... Any suggestions, tips or tricks when replacing the grass/sod back into the ground? Mine is close to cement sidewalk and I seen a lot of loose gravel rocks just below my sod... My guess is the gravel came from when they installed the concrete sidewalk? I can tell you it was overkill as there is lot. Should I put some type of dirt fertilizer and maybe some clean topsoil down before I put my old cut out sod back down?

I specialize in irrigation only and I gotta say this guys paid buy the hour and loving it. Poor homeowners. Without cutscenes, this should of been done just as clean in 10 minutes. Why would u need a level of your going for grade next to the concrete? I would hope you can see what the elevations like. Doesn’t take much to see the change and adjust. 🤦🏼‍♂️
