Sorry, found this video of yours pretty late, but its still on topic, because even over here the church of god opened up in a small village and I did my research on it - you tube has certain videos that shows its just a weird cult - and like always there are of course certain people who claim - they use to have only good experiences with that cult. These arnt cults!!!!! That bull… actually. Branches of this church do not have this crap in them. Church does not force you to do anything but tells you the Bible. This is just crazy. Branches of this church are definitely not a cult. Our leader is God and only him, we dollow God not our pastor or any other person. Mr Armstrong DID have correct teaching, if we are going along with the Bible. The Bible says what it says and we should follow it. Pastors do NOT force you to do anything or even manipulate y they just preach. I have never been apart of the world wide church of God but do participate in a branch of that and it’s the most wonderful church ever. They put up rules that the Bible say. Being a Christian is hard and following Gods rules is necessary.

I hated the church. Started when I was 8, I'm 56 now. You had to dress right, act right, cant go to school activities (football, dances because all are on the Sabbath). I married in the church because you are supposed to marry within. He was an alcoholic and thought only of himself. He bought a brand new truck without talking to me, he told his brother, " what is she going to do, divorce me?" I couldn't take a job with fed ex out of high school, because I would have to work on Saturday. I did not dare go against my parents.

I know this is an extremely old video, but I just wanted to tell you, that growing up, I was taught Armstrongism, or Worldwide Church of God beliefs, started by Herbert W. Armstrong. He taught that we are not under Grace, that we were still under the law, even the dietary laws! That we had to keep the Sabbath Day, instead of teaching that the Sabbath Day was actually a symbol of Jesus Christ being the eternal rest for our souls. When I got older, and before I found out his teachings were heretical, I was a devout follower of him and his teachings, I mean, he claimed to be a modern-day prophet, so why wouldn't I? And, the way he spoke was so convincing. Deep down, I was skeptical about him, but I didn't want to believe he was wrong at the time. It'd get so bad, that I'd condemn myself and stress myself out over the smallest mess-ups. I was stressed out almost 24/7. I used to wonder if I was even doing enough for God's acceptance, or whether I was going to make it to heaven or not. Herbert W. Armstrong did not believe in eternal security. I stayed in confusion and bondage for years. I was taught I must believe, then do "my part" aka works to receive eternal salvation at the end, instead of receiving it the very moment I believe. I would argue with people who preached about Grace, and I used to look down on people and judge them for messing up, thinking it was proof of them not being saved. I saw the teaching of Grace as heresy until The Holy Spirit led me, and revealed to me, 4 years ago, that it was really the true Gospel of my salvation. I used to say to myself "If I'm supposed to earn my salvation, then why don't I have peace or joy in my life? Why do I feel so tired and stressed out all the time? What was the point of the Cross?" Back then, I didn't realize I was doing it all wrong, but now I know I'm not saved by what I do, but by what Jesus did at the Cross for me! I already knew I was tired, but I didn't realize how tired I was until I realized who I was in Christ, and how I'm supposed to rest in Him, and allow Him to produce His fruit in me. And, that I was already set for Heaven, that He already accepted me, the very moment I believed with child-like faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, and received His righteousness. I'm sorry for the long comment and for sharing my life story, but I felt needed to share this with you, in hopes you might see it. God bless you!

In the short time I was there, never once heard a sermon on salvation, all they preach is the holy days and how everyone outside their church is blind. Classic cult behavior.
