I understand Aggregates Industries have bought Land Recovery. Since they have left the Rail industry (sold all 59s to Freightliner) it doesn't look good for these 60s now.

They should never been allowed to be put into that state in the first place.

They 'should' be heading to Loughborough for fitting of CAT (class 68) power units and new ancillary equipment. No doubt a new classification to so will be interesting to see which from class 61,62,63,64 & 65! JG.

I've seen this passing many times with logs going to Kronospan in Chirk

I wish they’d bring back growlers and regular coaches again on everyday train routes get fed up of boring diesel and electric multiple units to give todays trains their old sixties name.

Awesome video as usual, these were two great tours and I was lucky enough to see both.. which doesn't happen very often! 😆 44871 put on a nice show, she wasn't too great when I saw her but I enjoyed seeing her nonetheless - the 47 was more than likely the highlight of that tour for me, thanks to the driver with all the tones he did! 😅 I believe I spoke to you while the 60/57 tour was in Chester, I was wearing a black and white coat, and I was at the end of the platform in that video of the 60 running light past Chester. 👍 Again, amazing video - I really enjoyed it!!

In the late 1980’s I used to travel on this Bidson Line each way once a week for 5 years to college in Liverpool, so it was nice to see what we passed each time. I remember seeing diesel shunters working here.

Why does the train run ? Does the steel go there to be finished ? Or to be turned into an end product ? Is the shunter an ex BR O8 ?

Excellent stuff thank you . Having seen numerous clas 68s in traffic it seems curious how even when the rest of the loco is fairly clean the area on the cab side just above the number is often dirty to the extent that the company name is almost obscured.as on 68033 and others shown here.
