One of the biggest crimes in death metal history, and probably music production history, was burying the bass on Human. I wish they could have gotten Pierre Rémillard to produce because his production on None So Vile and Obscura were amazing.

the bass was great but I think the lines got a little too crazy at times. It never seemed that buried to me either because I could mostly hear it fine , just not all of the bass fills

0:11 I continously struggle to hear the guitar riff with original drum track, for my ear the riff breaks as it was quarter second out of sync, in this demo it sounds better, I can follow the riff

If u r into metal thn just go for it.. i have this pedal. Just plug and play u get the tone u wanted. Tweak a little based on ur likes.

Okay, so obviously Human is my favorite album of Death's along with ITP (duh) because I'm a SDG fanboy. His work literally shaped my life. Human is a shame because its hard to hear the bass, but I LITERALLY CANNOT remember hearing ALMOST any of these notes except for maybe about eight of the higher dual note chords he plays. It's almost war crime level injustice that (even despite the bad mixing) you can at least KIND of hear the bass on the other songs...All except for this one. And it turns out its the greatest bassline he's ever played.

It seems to me as though even Pagey can’t play it properly anymore. It’s clearly all down strokes on Zep II. Just doesn’t sound right with up and down strokes. Sounds really messy.

'Spiritual Healing' was the last good Death album. Anything else after is just garbage. My two cents...

Spiritual Healing might be the worst Death album. It was stuck in a transition and a solid sound was not present. We did get Pull the Plug, but certainly not the greatest Death album at all.
