that's a first. rinsing garlic....? all you have to do IF there's dirty is peel the outside husk. freeze it up to one month? shoot. I have a freezer full of butter. been freezing butter for years. I have them there for month to over a year without a problem.
@KerriAnnsKravings7 күн бұрын
Hey there! I get that! Rinsing the garlic is just a personal preference to make sure it’s clean, especially if it’s been sitting out or handled a lot. Some people like to remove any potential residue before peeling. I am some people. 😆 And wow, that’s some serious butter dedication - I love it! Thanks for sharing your perspective - always love hearing different approaches!! xx

Kerri-Ann's Kravings miss what are the name of these carbs that are red ? and why i ask is that are these the normal sea crabs cuz i got family that who wont eat the land crab cuz etc stigma of them eating anything and living in filthy drainage etc LOL i try to convince them that is not so but i gave up so my only option is lobster and the king crab and sea crabs that are red that you using in your put their at 0:27 and its my first time cooking crap and i want to get use to cooking crab and shrimp and oyster etc cuz i also have a lovely lady i want to woe if you get my drift :)
@KerriAnnsKravings7 ай бұрын
Hi there! The crabs I used are a common type available at many fish stores, and they're sold frozen which makes them super convenient. No worries about handling live ones! Those red things you're seeing are whole peppers ( used a mix of scotch bonnet & habaneros) that add a nice flavor kick to the dish. Just check out your local fish market and they should be able to point you to similar crabs. Enjoy your cooking adventure and here's to impressing your special someone with your culinary skills! xx

Looks good, but I think you should have told the viewers to wash the Sorrel, just like how you wash rice.
@KerriAnnsKravings10 ай бұрын
Tony, I appreciate your input and I appreciate you bringing this up. In the recipe video, I used dried sorrel petals, which differ from rice in that they usually don't require rinsing after the drying process, and they don't have the same impurities or starch as rice. I typically don’t rinse my dried tea before brewing and I apply the same rules here (personal preference). That being said, I completely understand that some people might prefer to rinse dried sorrel for extra precaution, and that's absolutely fine. Personal preference is key, and I'll make sure to include this as an optional step in future recipes. For those using fresh sorrel, a good rinse is definitely recommended to ensure it's clean and ready for use. Thanks again for your insight. xx

Can you make a coconut milk version
@KerriAnnsKravings Жыл бұрын
Hey Linda, Thanks for reaching out. I've got you covered! If you'd like to use coconut milk in the Jamaican rum cream, simply swap out the sweetened condensed milk with dairy-free sweetened condensed coconut milk. As for the heavy cream, replace it with canned coconut cream. I've had great results with the Thai Kitchen brand. Additionally, you can use almond milk as another non-dairy alternative to the heavy cream. Check out the "Variations & Twists" section on my blog post (kerriannskravings.com/jamaican-rum-cream/) for more details. Cheers to a dairy-free twist on this classic drink! 🥥🥂!
