I watched it. It wasn't the worst movie in the world but it was silly to leave open threads for sequels that will never happen. The on foot chase that was practically lifted out of Captain America was pretty good. Some of the action was fun, but everything else 🫠. It's definitely not worth paying to see.

I been playing Dragon Age since the release of Origin, and even though DA2 and Inquisition are not on the same level when it regards of choices, they still hold up with characters and stories which is what makes them good in my eyes. DA2 had a problem with repeated levels and some very poor level design and yet I would re play it because I loved the world and the characters so much, they were made in such a way that you become attached to them. Over 500 hours in Origin, over 400 in Inquisition an almost 200 on DA2 and yet in Vailguard I didn't even wanna finish the game. Throughout the trilogy, every choice and every story path was leading to Tevinter. The Hero of Feralden who became the first Warden of Ferelden, if Alive and has a relationship with Morrigan goes out to the north to find a cure for the Calling so he could save the grey wardens and be able to live a life with Morrigan and Kieran. He goes to Tevinter and was rumored to head to weisshaupt. Hawk, Loghain or Straud, after the events with the Wardens in Inquisition heads north to weisshaupt. With companions like Iseballa going north, Merrill going north with her clan and even Fenris. If Hawk was a mage, Carver would be a grey warden, Aveline would be protecting kirkwall and maybe sabastian is leading his army against it. Anders if left alive escaping north. In inquisition you learn a lot, if you drink the well of sorrows you hear the voices of the ancient elves and can understand their writing, you learn that the first inquisitor was a mage elf, you build your forces to become well respected even if you disband it or keep it intact. The seekers being remade, probably stronger because of your influence with Cassandra, Lilliana you can soften after her heart became hardened in Origin which leads things to become better. So many small details that lead up to the forth installment being this great epic with returning characters and significant character choices having an impact. Alistair as king, Sten as Arashok, The Archatect and his research so many things that would impact the story in different ways, sure you didn't have to do all the choices but not destroy everything that came before. Dreadwolf was supposed to be the Endgame of dragon age where you see the Hero of Ferelden, Champion of Kirkwall and Inquisitor join forces to take down the deadwolf who will tear the vail and bring back the world he lost by destroying thedas. We learn of the old gods, maybe the maker as well and the elven gods. Maybe because Kieran had an old god inside him along with the blood of the Hero of Ferelden, his blood is the key to curing the Calling. Merrill from DA2 with learning how to use Blood Magic for good can find a way to do that. Morrigan with her knowledge of eluvian along with the Inquisitor who drank from the well learn of ways to chase Solas to stop him. The possibilities were endless... Instead they threw everything away to focus on this badly written trash, and the pronouns thing is just a very tiny annoyance of inserting real world issues into where it doesn't belong yet its what is talked about the most by the loud minority. A pretty looking game does not make it a good game, story and characters will always be first when it comes to RPG games. And this was NOWHERE NEAR good writing and the insertion of political messaging over good story is what killed this franchise.

It's a bit more nuanced than 'they're ugly and unattractive', characters like that have been shown to be good time and time again. Its that they're entire purpose is to alienate Gen Z men, the highest suicide rate demographic, who already face constant hatred from all angles from every single piece of media, from the workplace, from dating apps and social media conditioning people to have impossibly high standards of men. Gen Z men are what make up most gamers, and they are tired of everything constantly attacking them. This isn't going to make them 'rethink' their opinions, this isn't going to make them 'more accepting', because they live in a world that is constantly rejecting of them, that never rethinks its opinions of them. These games are a symptom of a culture that can not celebrate themselves, the only 'celebration' they know is witchhunting who is hated the most; young men.

THERE IS ALWAYS MORE! NEVER JUST ONE THING! Once a game company starts pandering to those mythical modern audiences that Disney itself spent billions of dollars trying to find them, it goes full out on it, otherwise there is no point virtue signaling with just one thing. Those sweet ESG bucks won't be coming in for just pronouns. Id say Andromeda lost more than gained. Im playing through Andromeda now after finishing the ME Legendary. ME3 was the sweet spot for combat for me. I enjoy the traversal aspect of jetpacking but Andromeda is definitely a cut your brain off and pew pew game.

Honestly, were it not for anime and characters like Stein's;Gate Ruka, i honestly would not know of any sort of positive ideation of LGBT characters in fiction. My headcanon is that the Inquisitor tracks down Solas and changes his mind. The end. Destroying Southern Thedas was a big F U to the fans who spent hours going through all the side quests and collectables to get the your optimal result heading into the next game. What sits like the elephant in the room regarding what the new dev team has done in V-tard is the insult directed at the former dev team, the players of the former dev team's work, and the gameworld that the former dev team created and developed. Yes, the writing is trash. Yes, the IRL trans/"non-binary" activism is trash. Yes, the Pixar style and Marvelesque knockoff humor are both trash. Yes, the kiddie-style characters and tone in an "M" rated game are trash. Yes, the flashy mobile game gameplay elements are trash. Yes, the pretend choices in a supposed RPG are trash. But the general corruption of all that has an archdemon towering over of it: the wiping from Thedas of all the areas previously visited by the players in the genuine 3 games of the franchise- plus the endslide that retroactively reduces all previous lore and narratives to being merely a pawn of the EA "Execs." That's the opposite of world-building. It's literally world-destroying. It's a middle finger. And it's within that context that all the other fatal flaws of the game take place: the hatred these devs demonstrably have for Dragon Age despite it being, as you said, a fantastic IP in their hands alone that any sane, reasonable person would assume they'd want to do their best with. That's why I wonder at "why they made" V-tard. Clearly it was intended as an insult. But to what purpose? I received it for my birthday as everyone knew how much I love it. I only got 20 hrs in and well stopped playing it and uninstalled it. Do not bother with it. But, Hawke doesn't matter, The Warden doesn't matter, Divine Victoria doesn't matter, mages and templars don't matter, Meredith doesn't matter (as she seems to still be alive), King Alistair doesn't matter. Who was left in the fade, doesn't matter. Who drank from the well was taken from us. My Inquisitor drank from the well as he was an Elf....Kieran, Morrigan's son, doesn't matter. Shame on bioware. Shame on them. As I play Veilguard, at the very surface level, it is serviceable with the end game being very good....when you scratch the surface, all the flaws come out. Minrathous has no signs of slavery with elves running stores and taverns....that is not a thing in Minrathous as Fenris and Dorian tells us....the Crows have been totally gutted to be your friendly neighbourhood Crows instead of ruthless killers who will kill members who defect or who do not do well in training. We also have a Warden recruit who left before she was given the joining. That is not a thing. Duncan killed Ser Jory in Origins for trying to run....honestly....these writers should be ashamed of themselves. Oh, there is also a non-binary 'healer warden' who was just allowed to go through the joining but not actually becoming a warden properly....THAT IS ALSO NOT A THING!!!! Also, everyone seems to know what happens to Wardens when they kill an archdemon....even Alistair didn't know and he had been a Warden longer than our character....UGH Hawkes brother, is forced through the joining in DA2 and becomes a Warden, there is no escaping them!
