@@mysticalmusic1069 this is using regular vinyl, not htv, and using laminate sheets to sublimate into, the video explains it all, but yes you are correct this is not htv it is regular oracal 651, but you could use cricut vinyl or any regular vinyl

Can I do the same procedure for acrylic?
@TouchofClassCreations
@TouchofClassCreations 3 ай бұрын
The idea should work in theory because the sublimation is going into the vinyl, the only issue would be the acrylic holding up to the heat for the length of time, I do not work with acrylic so do not know if it would soften being under the heat press for couple minutes at 350+ degrees?

What temperature in the oven? Do you have to use a convection oven?
@TouchofClassCreations
@TouchofClassCreations 5 ай бұрын
In an oven I would cook at least at 365, in my oven I do at 400 degrees to burn the image off, and I do use a convection oven, usually about 40 min or so. Just jump to 3.00 if you want to miss all the pointless waffle about ovens and where to buy a heat gun. Three minutes before he actually does anything useful. Oh, and save some time, skip to the end, it doesn't work.
@TouchofClassCreations

The process does work, albeit not as good as cooking images off in an oven, however no method will completely burn a sublimated image off ( that I have found at least) and the pointless waffle is on all my videos, (so if u don’t like to hear me talk u should skip my videos entirely)I like to just aimlessly talk to those that will listen… lol!! 😂 thanks for watching and for your feedback!!

Is the cup microwavable if so. Can you still microwave with the sticker made for the cup?

No, unfortunately these are plastic cups, not microwaveable and with the added vinyl would not be dishwasher safe either

How do you get them to stay on the cups. I tried what you did but they peel off around the edges.

The best way I have found to keep them from peeling is hand wash and not leave sitting in sink or liquid for any period of time, these are best used for like kids parties and things of that nature in my opinion

It wasn’t too bad, although I still think cooking the image off in an oven is the easiest if u have a little oven or tumbler press available. If u are sensitive to fumes I would wear a mask or do in a well ventilated area still

Thanks for the video, was very helpful. have a question. I heard the thickness of the paper makes a difference to the quality of the print. what thickness do you use to do your printing on , for the fleece.. Thanks
@TouchofClassCreations
@TouchofClassCreations Жыл бұрын
The thicker paper does allow for a little more ink saturation, however I usually use whatever paper I have, I use koala or Tex print r, but the main difference I find in paper is when it doesn’t dry fast it can smear on my tumblers, haven’t had much issue or notice difference on fabrics
