DalianJJ said they used the runners for the eyes and faceplates so there would be no way the factory workers to accidentally give you duplicates.

You are stupid the mp-44 has more weight than the lite of peace and it is less hollowed out than lite of peace. Lite of peace has like nothing inside of the legs vs mp-44 having the whole back of the truck inside of the legs

I love this figure and this combiner. It’s well engineered and looks great. I’m also happy that it scales smaller than my FansToys Superion because cars should be smaller than jets.

For all the criticisms of this guys transformation, I can't wait to hear your assessment of the Fantastic Model version. Yikes!

Fanstoys seems to have found the sweetspot between magic square and takara with this silhouette. Hopefully prime has these issues resolved.

i think the proportions are better on the official. the FT one looks too long. the big seperation between the cap and the trailor.

i think the most fun Magnus figure to transform is the Studio 86 one. the Newage one is probally second for me. the first Magic Square one was also fun. i think this alt-mode looks a little too long and thin.

I made the decision to order the X-Transbots version two years ago because it looked more accurate to the cartoon model than this one. I don't regret my choice, but there are definitely some good things about this figure as well. Like that Matrix of Leadership; it's the best looking I have ever seen. Those feet of the core robot worry me, though. If Fantastic Model's or Fans Toys' engineers will not solve that balance issue for the Optimus Prime figure, I'm definitely not going to order it. By the way, you are the first person in KZbin that I have heard pronouncing the name "Takara" correctly, Streakshooter... so kudos to you for that!

Great work! If you push in the sliders by the fuel tanks you pulled out before rotating the lower leg 180° the various tabs on the side of the cab will seat together better.

I really would like to know whats FansToys issue with giving their figures a forward butterfly….i mean it clearly is a thing with them. It’s so frustrating because everything else they do is top notch

If you like the transparent chest, go for it. Watch the frames where Magnus rises to say "Springer, you and Arcee transform Autobot City..." The windows are clearly a different, more reflective texture than the rest of his torso. They are even a different colour. The same is true when the Junkions revive him, his chest closes, and he stands. It's just like most of the animation was simplified (shocking).

They didn’t leave the faces and eyes on the sprue for financial reasons. They did it so everyone got the proper faces and not 2 of 1 and missing one.

your going to make me want to get this. i know it. i have just about every Magnus except the R.I.D 2001 version. i thought the xtransbots one was going to be my definative Magnus. might get it and just have a shelf of all Magni. should i do it? lol. i think that head is from the Dreamwave comics

Great review as always. This Magnus -- in the armor -- is outstanding. The best I've seen yet. Would be great to get something similar to it for legends class. The ones we have from Magic Square and NewAge are okay. But this is killer.

Like keeping up to date with the latest figures and upcoming figures. Always comparing similar figures to see which one is more accurate, in my opinion. Like with the Black Apple Optimus Prime. I got the figure thinking it’d never be dethroned. However, recently there’s been a couple of new releases by 3rd/4th party companies, that have been revealed, that may dethrone Black Apple Optimus Prime. Soo with that along with the many many other announcements and such, I’ve just been soo sidetracked, I forgot to check back in. Again, thanks for the shoutout. If I happen to see any other things you might’ve missed in a review, I’ll be sure to let you know. Between my brother and I, we find soo many things that even the most well known reviewers miss. bought mine today. its so hard to try and make Groove look cool. his design is one of the weakest in Transformer lore. not going to combine this set. i've been having bad luck with breaking combiners lately. lol. Hot Spot and Streetwise are the best two of the set. my Xtrans Groove also broke in that spot.

Just realized my pre-order was cancelled...now have to play the waiting game..

Great review as always thanks. It’s a beautifully sculpted piece. That totally aside if I knew what I was getting into with this entire set I regrettably wouldn’t buy it again. The reasons to me are obvious such as there isn’t any die cast for the feet. Also the handlebars are so fragile of a collector was to practice their humanity and drop the figure then this figure isn’t gonna hold up. Those handle bars should be metal. Same with First aids’s mirrors as well which are made out of rubber. Both of mine have already fell off. So I hate to be a negative Nancy here but these really are my sincere feeling/thoughts about the piece. What really annoys me is these could have easily be remedied with better QC and materials. The critics of my critique might say “well the company has to make money too” and this is what I say charge me the extra $10 per piece and give me the metal handle bars and the hard plastic mirrors. Why wouldn’t they……?

This figure wasn't supposed to be G1 accurate, it was supposed to be IDW accurate.

Nice review...I appreciate the comparison to the toon pics although I think it is pretty far off from it. Computron is one of the few teams/bots that I prefer closer to the toy rather than the toon because he was my first complete combiner. I also appreciate the comparison to the g1 toy, which I feel this really captures.

I just received mine yesterday. What a wonderful piece and we finally have a modern legends class Technobots 👍👍💯💯

idk if i got a defective copy or what but it wasnt even 2 days after i got this figure that the hip joint broke, can someone tell me if their copy had a similar issue or not bc i havent seen anyone elses copy having the same thing
