Matthew have a question bud, I have an X make long story short, lost all my factory drum kits expansion also they we’re all included in the machine already, real quick! I downloaded the new Akai Beta MP3 3.4.1 didn’t like it, guess it knocked out my kits and stuff, I downgraded back to 2.15.1 where I was at from beginning, lost all my sounds drums so question is! how do I get everything back, yes I gave a drive, I use for my music, everything was internal so I didn’t need to do nothing else but turn it on everything’s right there didn’t need no card or nothing for the MPC X all factory man, I do have an Akai account also

whats the name of that mixer ?

I wish you didn't skip over the Sounds > Recording > "Listen to this device" option. My issue is unless I select this option I do not get both mic and playback at the same time in my DAW but when i do by selecting it, I get about a 1/2 second mic delay.

This is a great tutorial I have the non-USB version of that same mixer (Behringer Xenyx 1202FX) and a Focusrite Sacarlett 4i4 interface so this is perfect. Thank you!

even after following all these steps, I still can't record my guitar? its all correct on the interface and all lights are green. However it won't record into the software I'm using. I have managed to record vocals which has worked but the guitar won't??

I have an MPC1+ and had the very same problem as others and couldn't get the free plugin. But after putting in a ticket, I explained the issue and told them the plugin I was wanting to claim. Akai Support fixed it and manually added the Jura plugin into my InMusic account. Next time I turned on my MPC1+ the Jura plugin was there to activate, download and use.

I totally hate the industry's incorrect use of gain. You are changing the attenuation. The gain for the amplifier's semiconductor circuitry is fixed. You are simply changing the amplitude of the signal input from wide open to near zero to match levels, impedances...for best S/N or whatever you are doing. There are variable gain amplifiers in RF, but they have fixed gains per circuit changes for desired results. They are discrete and not continuously variable IIRC.

Thanks. Unlike every other tutorial I have watched, you did not skip a bunch of steps. As for buffer size, I increase a low size, until the tone is clean and unbroken. But when playing guitar, the audio quality is degraded and requires an increase in buffer size. So it seems the test tone is unreliable. Am I overlooking something?
