The borg use to give me chills the way they are all moving like a hive mind and stuck in the wall when resting or repairing. And their ships were huge. Didn't hear the captain was abducted and he was the only one i remember surving them leading up to this he was still a little co co so every action was very questionable to this point.

I never Imagined I would ever be living in a time where speaking about lowering taxes, spending more responsibly, enforcing our immigration laws, arguing against executing unborn babies and Making America Great Again is considered divisive language!!!

Watching the Fox News Talking Heads in the lead up to what was the highly anticipated Red Wave, giddily gloating about what was to come, was Television Gold when they had to eat Crow once the results were in. If only Dems hadn't given away multiple House seats in N.Y. and Ca., due to their arrogance and over-confidence, Dems would have kept the House, in what would have been one of the greatest Political upsets in the history of this Country. Still, the Dems pulled off a minor-miracle, to say the least.

The music score for the temporal wake is one of the best in all of Star Trek. First Contact is the best TNG movie…

I love that scene with the Defiant going toe-to-toe with the cube, and the dramatic music seamlessly switched to the Klingon March. Beautiful. It is also interesting, though the fleet was doing 100 times better then at they did at Wolf 359, they were still getting their butts handed to them. Until the Big E showed up, that is.

1.35.55 The Summer Lee winning result from Pennsylvania 12th District ( 55.7% to 44.3% ). In an "effort" to win, the Republicans had found a guy with the same name as the outgoing Democrat Mike Doyle!
@k7u5r8t414 күн бұрын
At 47.20 the guy at the board clicks on NY 14th and says; AOC the easy winner. After all the Fox nonsense about how unpopular she is in her District he as a numbers guy KNOWS, that she will obviously win easily in her District. He acted mostly as an honest reporter here. While the guys at the desks were spinning their heads trying to create a narrative to fit their agenda.

I love how in the extended universe, it’s stated that Picard basically told the fleet to fire their weapons up the Borg Cube’s shitter. 😅

I'd have ignored from the beginning, gave the coordinates and bust the cube up in around 30 seconds.

@alecgoudreau639721 күн бұрын
They were so lucky the Borg had thousands of cubes in their trans warp network, small one's medium ones, and very large ones. If the Queen brought along, 20 it was all over.

What I love about this scene is that Picard rolls up, tells everyone he's taking command of the whole fleet, and no one says a god damn thing. In like 10 seconds everyone is ready to go behind him. He tells everyone to shoot a questionable target, and again no one says a god damn thing. Just pure trust. That's honestly the best part of this scene.

I still remember when I first watched this with my best friend at the time. We were joking and playing around during the movie, but she was giving a basic recap of everything that happened. Without her I couldn’t have gotten into Star Trek, even though neither of us were much Star Trek fans. She once told me “I’m only watching this for the borg.” It’s been almost 7 years since she killed herself. I still miss you Sophie.

Fun film, one of the best of the TNG era. We can just ignore that if the Borg had done the time travel thing in their own sector, they could have just waltzed over to Earth and wrecked it without any resistance. No, we can ignore that, right? RIGHT?
