Had the v3 ke for about a month now and was using cura as a stepping stone to learn about 3d printing. Went trought a lot of channels, videos at 1.25x-1.50x, trial and errors and have learned a lot. I started using orca last night and with just some minimal tweaks to the base settings i got superb results. I'll definitely be looking forward to more of your know-how with this slicer. Currently looking at available sources for good bed adhesion settings for small prints/thin bases. Would love if you would touch up on that in future videos. Bed slingers have no mercy at higher speeds.

Were you able to raise the max temperature to 300 °C on the sonicpad? I bought the new 300c hotend kit for the SE and found out Creality doesn't even have the firmware out for it,
@CHRIS_CREATIONS2 ай бұрын
So the Max I have ran the Hotend on the SE is 270c with the Sonicpad. BUT The Ender 3 SE can run the V3 KE Firmware as they are the Exact same board. That said I have also installed the Nebula Pad to run Klipper that way which then becomes a V3 KE variant which can run up to 300c. Now I haven't tested the running the KE firmware with SE with the Sonicpad as I don't think it will recognise it. I am fairly confident that you should be able to edit the max hotend temp in fluid or Mainsail whilst using the Sonicpad. Hope that helps.

Compared to Core Xy Printers it's actually not that loud, That said if you have the CR10se as your main printer yes it can be loud if your not used to it. Especially for a Bed slinger open platform printer. One thing I hate about this printer is the VFA's on the Y axis that I can not get rid off
@CHRIS_CREATIONS5 ай бұрын
VFA is almost common on every single printer on the retail market. The best advise is to make sure you complete the VFA calibration Print Test in a Gloss 3D Filament to show the VFA layers more clearly and then Lower you Top Surface Layer printing speed by 10-20% below the VFA best speed settings. Followed by making sure your belts on the linear rails are not over tightened which should be approx no more than 2pounds or 7.5nm of tension.

As farf as Lube for the linear rails I use Lithium grease a little goes a long way. Cheers

Hello, I wanted to know if the V3 SE is faster with sonic pad and if the quality improves, I'm looking for a comparison of the printer with and without the sonic pad to see the differences, but I can't find it anywhere, I'm thinking about purchasing one to put on my V3 SE. But I'm afraid there won't be any difference, in the country where I live the sonic pad is very expensive and you can buy another printer for the price. By the way, great videos, I loved it.
@CHRIS_CREATIONS8 ай бұрын
Thankyou I really appreciate your feedback & comments it means alot. Yes the SonicPad does increase the quality of the V3 SE prints and also the speed as well. As the SonicPad converts the SE from a Marlin firmware system to a Klipper system as such the Klipper system runs a Faster more advanced algorithm than Marlin can or does therefore you gain increased print speeds and quality from better g.code processing this the reason why most modern printers are no running Klipper based firmware. I will do a speed and quality comparison video this weekend which be out by mid next week. March 3-5th.That should help you decide and see the differences between. Heaps more content in the coming weeks as well stay tuned. Cheers Chris

Hi, Honestly you can go past the Ender 3 V3 SE as a entry level printer. It's relatively quick printing ease of use and upgradable as well. So you can get into 3d printing on a budget & then upgrade with Led lighting, filament sensor, bigger printing fans, SonicPad or nebula touch screen pad and Klipper for even faster printing later on as you can afford to. I still use mine today as it prints great straight out of the box. Hope that helps. Cheers

SE filament sensor comes with a bracket and bits to attach it. In saying that its still a ball ache routing the cable and wiring it but then again I would wager most people who have got used to tinkering with 3d printers would have no problems. I am beginning to think the main differences between these two printers to the vast majority of end users is SD card and being willing by buy a better PEI sheet and filament sensor if you need to. Once you do it will still be a bit cheaper, and you might decide you don't even need them. Most end users won't find that much difference in start to end speed unless speed is very important to them.

Hi, I'm on the market to buy a 3d printer, i never bought one, so i'm a newbie, and i was looking at the cr10se for 400€. A friend of mine told me to buy the ender 3 v3 ke for 300€, but i heard that in the long run(don't want to buy a new 3d printer for a very long time, +5years), the build quality materials used(less maintenance), the fast printing speed makes it so the cr10se a better choice and it's currently 100€ more then the KE. i'm also asking since you shown having both cr10se and K1C, would i loose something important for a printer that i want to keep for more then 5 years and try and give 160€ more at 560€? It's really hard for me because the more videos i see the more i want to get it right on the first buy, but this is like smartphones, add more 30€, and more 30€, and suddenly your buying a high end phone that gets depreciated fast.
@CHRIS_CREATIONS8 ай бұрын
Hi, Great question, Honestly if you want an enclosed printer and can see yourself printing Nylon, Carbon fibre, Asa, abs etc then Go the K1 aka not the K1C why? it has a proprietary extruder and the K1 had all the same firmware's software and capabilities, If you want to print Carbon just put a hardened steel nozzle on it, Also if you want to stick with a Bed Slinger style and be a cheaper to start with Honestly get the CR10-SE out of the box it is a Awesome printer so underrated. The KE is a good printer BUT the KE takes a lot of adjustment to get it printing well with setting adjustments root access to unlock full klipper and fine tune and then there's the Z access bottom linier rods that a bit well not very great. The CR10-se is far superior in build quality and printing quality, better cooling fan, linear rails rather than linear rods and the runs the same CPU and motherboard as the K1 speedy & K1 Max. If I had the option of getting the KE or the CR10-se only I would definitely spend the extra if I could afford to and get the CR10-se for speed, quality and longevity.
