I'm the only lefty in my immediate family, I.e., mother, father, and four (4) siblings. Because I attended public schools, my teachers, I suppose, didn't attempt to make me write with my right hand; however, I was compelled to slant my cursive handwriting to the right side of the paper. At some point in my education, probably high school, I rebelled and began writing my cursive letters so that they were perpendicular to the bottom of the paper. What a relief! Unfortunately, it was too late for me to eliminate the habit of positioning my arm in the common lefty curve; consequently, after writing this way for decades, I'm nagged by chronic tendonitis in my left forearm, wrist, and hand. So it goes. 😎

I use to read a lot I have some Nancy drew books that a teacher gave me and red hardy boys he let me read but I never saw Nancy or hardy boys in book stores is both out of print were can I fine some hardy boys books

This was so incredibly ominous, suspenseful and haunting to me as a kid. Still is to this day tbh. I think the menu music was the scariest part of most of the Nancy Drew games, haha

Both of my parents are right handed and I'm left. I'm the first born plus an only child. What are the chances of that lol. Is it true 19% of Japanese population is leftys?

I was actually trying to find that out as well, but a few sources state only 1-3 percent. Japans intelligence comes from the high iodine and omegas consumed IMO. Left handedness I believe is a genetic mutation,where the brain adapts to lacking something and therefore creates new pathways for neurons etc. I didn't eat nearly as clean as do I now when I was a kid and I have no idea how great my intake was of omegas , choline etc.Yet I came out a bit above my family on the intellect level and the only lefty that I am aware of. I do appreciate the gift though.

DIY Channel. Yeah for the longest time I've been good at artistic stuff, and mathematics in general. I've always noticed how I seem to get things( though not everything) faster than a lot of people. I guess that could be due to right hemisphere dominance, but its also made it hard as an adult to find accommodation in a right-hand dominated world. Everything is made for right-handed people and I find myself disadvantaged in a lot of things, from driving, to where I prefer to sit at a dinner table. There has been some grief to be had.

Yes I noticed that too. To the point of where it frustrated me where others couldn't catch on. As for the right handed world, I adapted fairly well. I still write with my left,but can cut with right handed scissors, drive stick , etc etc. Perhaps I have become ambidextrous. Still can't write with my right though,not neatly at least.

Im assuming in which everything is catered to the right hand world,so technically we have no choice. And being left handed means being able to adapt fairly easily,hence why we can do so .
