I have a 2003 R6 and at my college i had an O2 sensor. I was using it to troubleshoot shoot a miss on 1 of the cylinder with the headers off. And the c values definitely corrosponded with its cylinder value. The bike was running while i was increasing or decreasing the C values and i could see the change on the O2 gauge for each cylinder. C2 was the only 1 that didnt change the value of cylinder 2 and that is because the igniton coil was bad and that was my problem solved. Also worth noting is that they were all set at different values from the factory when I first entered that menu.

Do you still havw your fireblade 08' and how do you like it? Its the slowesr out of its generation competitors but well balanced and the lightest - typical honda. Mine burns oil and i can never get a oil reading in my dip stick even when i topped up or when i first bought it at 20ks odo it came serviced and can see oil at full then a month later i cant find any oil, i did top up and still cant see any oil only when its on the side stand i see oil at the tip of it and its a whiskey colour. I now get the red oil light flash a few times upon start up i then top up and its fine..

Yeah i still have it, its the slowest top end because he power is added in the mid range, so its actually faster when riding around on the streets. To check the oil properly the bike need to be up right, I usually put some pieced of wood to make the bike level (don't drop it!). Take the dipstick out, wipe it, put it in but don't screw it in, pull it out again to check the oil level. If you think its really bad check it every 500kms (300 miles). I rode mine1500kms (1000 miles) since oil change and oil level is still full.

Good video. Notice how most videos of motorcycle crashes usually happen when the rider is doing stupid shit like speeding on a freeway, swimming through traffic or simply not paying attention? Taking the initiative to slow down or evade because they think it's the drivers responsibilities to look out for them seems to escape a lot of riders. We're taught from baby steps that we need to "ride like you're invisible".
@dgphi7 күн бұрын
Good stuff. I would add that we should practice hard braking and also "brake and escape" where you brake and then swerve. If we practice, then we will have these techniques when we need them. The middle of an emergency is not the time to figure this stuff out. A small nitpick: The stopping distance is not exponential with respect to velocity, it is quadratic. It is proportional to v^2, not k^v.

And in that position on the road? Tbh I also do stupid stuff like this, like really, really stare to look at the gear indicator sometimes when I damn well know I'm being stupid, and it's 100% on me. It quite gets on my nerves when people just say this to me. They just go "oh why would you ride a motorcycle? (I live in a populated country in Asia), they be like, oh you get to sit comfortably in a car with ac and it protects you from getting hit. I don't get why you'd ride a bike" Well, first of all, how are you comparing a car to a bike with stuff like ac? It's just physically impossible for a bike to come with ac, and it'd make no sense. Its also physically impossible for a bike to come with seats that are found in cars. Secondly, it always sounds like these guys want to use passive safety as an excuse for getting away with not caring. I don't think these people are wrong, or somehow inferior to my beliefs. They're right. A car does come with ac, comfier seats (at least on paper), and it does protect you. But that has little to do with riding a motorcycle in the first place. You ride a motorcycle for many different reasons, not only because you didn't want to drive. You drive because of many reasons, not only because you didn't want to ride a bike. Then there's the god awful status driven issue here. A car somehow implies your wealth. Somehow a ducati rider will get less looks than some guy with a decent car, except if someone's ready to spend inflated prices on a ducati, a luxury item, I'd think they'd have more wealth than any other guy with a good car. Somehow always passes people's minds here. "Its selfish" they argue. Well selfish as opposed to what? Buying a large suv you didn't ever need for "the family", only to find you hogging the narrow roads here with only the driver's seat occupied? If riding a bike is selfish, does this act, which is common here, imply benevolence? How did we even establish that a car is somehow more comfortable? That's just in the eye of the person behind the wheel. I don't hate cars but I dislike these bs narratives spread by people who refuse to admit laziness but will cook up something to make themselves look superior. I really dislike that.

@@darktitan8085 all your points hit the nail on the head. Some people in Western society see the world upside-down. Furthermore i was surprised years ago when i found my instructor was more afraid to drive a car than to ride a bike, it was a real cognitive dissonance moment for me then but now years later i understand why.
@darktitan808520 күн бұрын
@sparkthego Yes! The car owners aren't wrong, and frankly, idc about wrong and right, everyone's right in their own head afterall. But the point they're making comes off as a lazy comparison, it's like these people view riding as more effort combined with more risk. In some cases they're right. If we pair that up with egotistical biker culture, we're going nowhere. The issue I have with car owners isn't about riding or driving, or which is more fun. The issue I have is that driving is becoming sort of unconscious activity. These manufacturers love selling giant suvs that have the comfort of an airline - you want to sleep inside. Then they sell you unnecessary electronics such as the car will automatically brake if you don't, the car will tell you if someone is in your blind spot. Its become that lazy. It's an effort for the driver to turn their head these days! It used to be automatic behaviour. Then there's another trend here - reducing your visibility by decreasing the glass used, to comply with crash safety norms. Driving used to require the driver's attention, today it's becoming some sort of unconscious behaviour - you just get through it. No wonder these people think poorly of motorcycles since they require effort. That's my issue with the comparison - and the worst part is, they're not interested in the argument, they want you to join them instead. Its a first I've heard of someone being more afraid to drive than to ride though, that's the first I'm hearing of it. Mostly when people say I don't want to drive, it's them excercising choice. The other way around is usually misconceptions or laziness. This then, is surprising to hear. I hope the man stays safe. The conversations though - it's becoming black and white, Mobility is open minded. It's not about joining sides. This is why you're interesting to watch. You're giving a perspective to things nobody is talking about. And on that note, keep doing well sir.

Great point about how it takes alot of rides to feel out a bike. But if you can test ride a lot of bikes you might see which cockpits and drive trains just aren’t your cup of tea. But you’re so right, I wanted to try the new 390 duke as an economical bike to hit the twisty back roads of Northern California. I had heard so much about the 390 in all its generations. The 2024 was all new and better so I got it. Paying full price and all the U.S. fees. Love the bike but after 10 months I realize as amazing as the 390 duke is for what it is……. Power, smiles, 52mpg, all the after parts cheaper, no service really. It’s a smaller bike, you miss the wider tires, it has usable power that pulls maybe at 599cc. But you miss that bike that has more then you need when quickly over taking some one. Instead of this 390 can do a great impression of my larger bike in most situations. Like the substitution football player that is pretty impressive but after awhile you find out what he’s lacking that makes him that 2nd team roster player, still super talented but you need something more. To your point even on the 2022 390 duke model, used or floor super sale I could have had that experience and saved a lot of money. Yes the 2024 is a notch above but close enough that I would have seen no this bike is a bit on the small size and I ideally I will want more power. At least the ktm 790 duke. I had a stroke, when I began riding again my 990 superduke seemed too heavy, so I did the 390 duke, very impressed and it was light. As my strength and muscle mass came back, the 390 was like a lite beer, it worked but took a lot of work. I’ve become a better rider with the 390 for sure. Now to find 790 duke or a street triple! Thanks for your videos

I thought of it when I went through this back on my ZX6. After talking to a few people online the consensus was there could be nuances in fitment and generally steer clear since most/all problems can be solved with pad/rotor/mc on stock callipers (this is the case for sport bikes anyway) other bikes might be a different story.

the part about mass and energy is kinda wrong. sure you may be lighter but that wont really matter when youre going like twice as fast. remember KE = 1/2 mv^2. its the speed that really matters. and sure you may not get as big of an impact (if at all) but you will not get lucky everytime to get ejected or ejected safely. also the friction may help you slow down but some people are just retarded and ride with 0 gear and end up having to get skin grafts.
