Save it for sure! These 69 Chrysler 300s have a mean look to them....I missed out on one back in the day....I wanted it as a stable mate to my 69 Sport Fury two door that had the 383 option, But the deal on the 300 fell through

Used to have several 57 to 60 Plymouths, including two Furys. Back in the sixties, I ran across one of those two four manifolds but couldn't afford it. The guy wanted $500 for it in 1970. I had a single four on my 58 and kept it. Later moved it onto a 1965 Dodge. Blew a lot of people's minds with that one. I suspect your manifold is probably worth thousands now.

@@ScottsSpeedShop I honestly screwed up and did some really stupid stuff, and, last I heard, my cousin up in Wisconsin sold it. Where, when, and to whom he sold it, I can't tell, because he will no longer get back to me. I do know he knew it was rare, and that he did eventually 'find' [or obtain through his dealership license] the title to the car, while I never did let out that I myself did not have the title to the car, but only a 'salvage' title I got from another person, who I saved the car from, who was going to run it through a demolition derby. My only hope at this point is that it was obtained by somebody who would love and cherish it, as it, today, in A1 condition would be worth almost 6 million dollars. I only know this because when I was in IL [Chicago suburbs] I went to a Chrysler 300 club meeting and became an instant, lifetime membership, without dues, simply because it was the car it was. Sadly, I use the word 'was', because I fear greatly that it is no more. Either way, it is no longer in my life, a fact that pains me every day of my life.

The 300's are becoming increasingly rare. They were equipped with a 375hp 440 high performance engine; too bad it's gone. Oddly I have always wanted to see someone put a Pentastar v6 in one of these land yachts just to see how it would do, you know, for the sake of science...lol. I am and have always been a big fan of the "C" body Chrysler products. If it were me personally, I would drop a 5.2 magnum with an overdrive transmission from an 88 to 90 dodge truck, a 4-barrel intake, and maybe a Holley sniper 2, accompanied by a mild cam. Basically, a cruiser that gets decent fuel MPG's. No matter what you do, this old beast needs to live again. Great video, thanks for sharing.

I like you idea and it goes right in line with ours, but I was planning to drop a steel crank 440 back into(originally destined for my white 2 door sedan 1964 Dodge) and follow Tall John's Fun Shop on how to get 19 mpg out of the 440 with a single street demon carb, i'd like for it to pull my car trailer

Love C bodies!!!! These are sleepers quick, comfortable cars..Back in the 80's and 90's they were my daily drivers and beat the then new 5.0 5 speed Fox Body Mustangs..and other muscle cars 383 B bodies and 396 Chevelles and 390 Fords were easy prey and people assume big cars are slow as the 72-80's big cars were smog engines, low compression, low power engines. My stock 69 New Yorker with the factory 440 TNT (most had the 350 hp 440 with the 595 holley 4bbl) TNT is the Magnum/Super Commando engine..I loved that car, sold it in 1993 for a 69 Charger 383 (still have it) and then found a mint 1968 300 2 door 440(still have it) and have a 70 300 2 door factory triple black and 440 TNT, console, rallye wheels very hard to find took 6 years and 1,900 miles to get it! In my early 50's and as a teen I always loved C bodies.

Mine didn't have hidden headlights but the car was in mint condition with the big block engine and transmission missing. I put a 318 engine from a 72 satellite in the car so I'd have a ride but I always wanted a 440 with a 4speed in the car but it never happened and I don't remember what I did with the car cause I've had so many of em that I tend to lose track of what I done with em lol..I love that body style and everyone wanted me to make a Hurst clone but I like the Newport Royal name better cause that's what the car was..
