I just got myself a Suizan ryoba saw. It will take a while to get used to it. Video is a great help thanks. Mine has a thin plastic bag like cover over the ratten covered handle. Do you know if I'm supposed to leave it there or is it just for packing?

Super awesome chair! I've been needing to make some Stools recently and also wanting to make some chairs. I really like the woven seat! another great video! thank you. the design reminds me of a stickley side chair (Gustav and L&J both made them). Particularly the square posts. They are often done in leather. It's a matter of taste but you might have a look at those chairs up close and experiment with less sanding of corners, leaving the arises a bit more sharp to catch the light. Beautiful seat you got there.

Hi David. Watching the whole way through, the shape and style grew on me. Only thing that looks a little out of proportion for me is the size of the back rail and agree that an extra inch or so would fix that. It looks great and valuable experience was gained. For projects I'm not sure about, creating a storyboard on a piece of mdf helps me (even if a just for a part of the project). Thanks for taking the time to put the video together, it's not often I watch an entire 38 minute one :)

Hello David agree that the top rail needs more depth. Legs I think need to be thinner or top spindles need to be thicker. I like the stretcher hight low, have a habit of resting my heels on them. I have haven't made a chair yet but do have a low roman bench and a single seat bench with splayed legs so know the trouble of getting them right Stretchers also need to be thicker if legs staying that size. If doing another one then keep it the same or just make another pair.
