I found a gameshark code for the original Mega Man Legends that makes the game look right in widescreen-no such cheat exists for Legends 2, which means you will see lots of object culling if using a widescreen hack. I'm wondering if the research here would be useful for making an equivalent code for Legends 2?

This is amazing. I'll have to dive I to other videos. ROM hacks of MML 1 and 2 are something I'm tempted to learn. There's so much I want to do since we've been denied 3.

Much appreciated! I've dabbled a lot in arduino and unity, so I know how to copy paste code and even write my own stuff (still amateur level though), but decompiling is something I have zero experience in. My end goal would be to fix a few bugs in NFL 2K5, of course with small mini goals like replacing text, or copyrighted songs. The 2K5 community has a great texture mod for PCSX2 which is just amazing how far emulators have come in recent years. But texture mods only get us so far.

Where is a good place to go to ask questions about this kind of thing? I've hit a roadblock on my own hacking project and have no clue how to proceed, so having somewhere I can get some help would be really useful.

Is the main song from somewhere else, why do I know this song, why is it engraved in my head, did I play this game?

I was thinking the same too, and I found where I first heard it. The same music was also used in one of gobou's yume nikki animations (afaik the animation itself is a reference to HamuHamu), and the gobou animation was referenced in an easter egg in the ENA website where the same music plays.

This is the equivalent of translating the Hampsterdance into Japanese. In other words, you’re doing the whole world a service translating this cultural touchstone. I wonder what our turn of the millenium online culture’s fascination with hamsters were anyway, since it went beyond language and borders.

Less than a minute in and we're already confronted with some bullshit slide about the viewer having to "already know" all the very general and broad concepts. Most people don't have to already know a fraction about what's to know of these concepts to start game hacking. If people really knew all of this before clicking on your video I think many of them if not all wouldn't benefit at all from your video. And that's me saying this without watching it, I know, but anyone that knows C, asm, the compiling process and the architecture on what the game runs on would already know how to use ghidra, ida or any type of analysis tool. Using a slide like this takes away from your responsibility to put out good content and is disgusting in my opinion
