Very interesting. I'll have to make an earlier version sometime. I like the practical nature of footlockers.

Hey! Im still here, just been really busy with work and life the last few years. I have quite a lot of content filmed, just need to edit it... I'm hoping to get a few videos together soon on a large house project and get the rest out over the next year. Thanks for asking!

Hi , if you wanted to make this able to be two halves that could join together easily and take apart how would you modify it ?
@NATHANBUILDS3 ай бұрын
You would need to add a leg at the desired length and ensure there is a falcon wing support at that location as well. I think you could make it look pretty good.

Why is everything nailed AND glued? Are the screws not enough?
@NATHANBUILDS4 ай бұрын
If you just used pocket holes you should be ok. The glue adds extra strength.

Thanks for sharing. I strongly recommend you install your riving knife and your blade guard. Everything you did there can be effectively done with those finger and hand saving safety devices. The only time you need to take those off is for milling taller pieces of lumber.

Good form. A suggestion, the top of the arm should run from front to back to avoid end grain facing up to keep moisture out.
@NATHANBUILDS4 ай бұрын
I thought about that but I didn't like seeing the end grain on the front. Probably more durable though that way!

Why do you cross them and why did you do the vertical “v” in each section ? My wisteria is growing and am looking for ideas. I love this
@NATHANBUILDS6 ай бұрын
The V section allows for plants to grow vertically easier. However for something like roses that need to be tied up to the trellis you can have less runs further apart and you don't really need the V. I have a few other walls with roses that only have horizontal runs about a foot apart. So far things are growing well on both of these!

Thanks for posting this video! Is there a particular brand of oil you use/recommend? I couldn't see the brand name from the video. (UPDATE: Don't worry, I managed to discern what you were using: Minwax Helmsman Teak Oil!)

Is this a soundless mechanism? I think if a hydraulic power or a pneumatic power cylinder is used, this mechanism will be a soundless one. But you have done well.
