James’ eyes lit up when he spoke about the clubs. I sense that he hated the studio, rock and roll, lifestyle. It is impossible to utter the cork back onto the bottle, but I wonder if drugs would have not been as severe if not for those influences, keeping in mind that his Dad and brother also suffered from substance abuse and it was likely a predisposition. But the one thing I can say as I watched this interview is that James did not seem in love more than he seemed like he was just trying to be a stand up guy. From what I now know about Carly, she was madly in love with him and it breaks my heart that he was not as connected to her. That is not to say I don’t he loved her. I just don’t get the vibe that she was his soulmate.

Saw a interview with Carly and Dan Rather. She basically admits she smothered him, was selfish, and was way to needy. He won't even go to the island she's on for a visit. He says, "that's her island now! All these "hopeless romantics" and "bleeding hearts" crying out is kinda pathetic. I'm so glad he got out of that creepy relationship and saved himself. He no doubt, knew what was good for him!

And now Taylor ( heroin addict most his adult life) hasnt spoken to Carley in DECADES and refuses contact and hasnt even been to their adult son's Vinyard home to visit him. Taylor was and is a walking POS in his family life.

I can see the Vineyard from where I live on Cape Cod. The winters are horrible here, but summers...no place I'd rather be!
