it is nearly midnight and I have had such a long week I can't formulate a thoughtful comment but I just need to say ahsdfklsjfdksjfd I love this so much. 1:29 is morbid in the best way... the zoom-out syncing with "gun" is perfect -- this part made it hit me all at once that this song is fucked up and dr3 is fucked up and ryota's also fucked up. dude needs a hug so bad. really love it when people's AMVs are just character studies in video format, and this is a great example

Thank you so much! I enjoy just how fucked up Ryota is so much... I think there's this very interesting element to his character where his drive to create is tied into his need to suppress his trauma, which becomes something exploitable by others. The zoom out on that line is one I really liked -- I really wish I'd had more time to think over clip choices for this, but I had two hours in the day left and I was not stopping. Someone's got to put some appreciation on the DR3 cast :'3

The Slow Damage manga adaptation is tragically short (it only covers the prologue + the first chapter of the game), but it adapts most of the Ikuina/Towa content, which I'm grateful for! Would recommend both it and the full game (with the caveat that the story hits on most common triggers I can think of, so probably worth looking up warnings if you want or need them).

BEST SLOW DAMAGE SHIP OMG, you're SO right friend, and you edited them SO well here oh my god. I love how you used the zooming in/out effect, there's so much MOTION here and I think it really fits the vibes of the song so well? And I can't stress enough how incredible your typo skills are, it's soooo satisfying to look at. I love how well the lyrics fit the ship, and just omg you can tell how much effort and care went into every second of this. The animations turned so well and I think you did such a good job of picking out which manga caps to use, they're such good choices that really tell their story if that makes sense. They're SO cute, I love the drag me around part so much ajsdgfhdeh that's them... And the ENDING omg, I love the way the font changes from "like a rag" to "doll" it's SO satisfying. You used the CG change so well and I love the animated blood, hhhh they're so amazing... You seriously did such an incredible job on this, you can tell so much love went into this and it's so great to see, these two are so special and you did them SO much justice here!!!! alot of their content definitely seems to be more background lore we find out about in the game as opposed to animated which always surprised me a bit. Super fun part! This song fits them quite well.

The animation question is so funny to me, because the vast majority of Junko & Mukuro content is all in the Lore, but it's DR3 that really upgrades the subtext between them to be... pretty textual. But like 80% of their shared footage is just them looking at other people together (possibly done to torture me specifically? will need to contemplate the possibility more) Thank you so much! I enjoyed editing this nonsense way too much

AHHH, I am SO GLAD you enjoyed my CG usage... this game had exactly the right amount to support this video, and all the matchups were SO fun to do. in my dream world I would have been able to make the choruses unique as well BUT dear god this project was already so long and there's. Not a lot of art of this awful man. I was planning to like. Look up the font the game uses but I typed like two words in this one and like... I am PRETTY sure it's the one. The Keisuke parts were actually some of the first I did -- I was struggling with ideas for that section of the song, and then took one look in the CGs folder and was like. Well there is the animal that Doesn't Win lol. Keisuke is my little pathetic creature okay... I will leave out birdseed so he can survive the winter... munch munch munch munch munch :3 I LOVE that you picked up that the Executioners are the background singers for this... they deserve it okay, they would have FUN with it. I wanted to include Kau for more than just the "shake that bottom line" but he has No Vocal chords so it wouldn't have made sense (he debarked his dog, that is SO bad of him). he has to shake his bottom line for Arbitro tho that's just canon. "Look at me petting this puppy" was the line in the song where I realized this video had to happen and I am SO glad there were multiple expressions for it. I had originally planned to do a little more at the slower part of that ending section but I liked the CG matches there so much that I wanted them to get some Focus (<- posting cope for not wanting to do more typography). The face at "And the lawyers are denying?" is the EXACT one he makes in my head in a world where he faces criminal charges and his lawyer's like "we can get you off". No you can't. How the FUCK was this game translated again? I love you very very dearly and also I am SO glad we had this silly idea because I was Struggling with editing something heartfelt. I'm so happy I can make you laugh -- you deserve some joy in your life. <3

You probably do not know how accurate "yaoi cocaine" is as a summary for the genuine plot of TnC but oh DEAR did that crack me up. The uncensored version of the game is actually 50% off at Jast USA's website right now, so it might be worth picking it up if you're interested! I've gone through two routes and have been enjoying it so far. While not very visually graphic, it's pretty extreme in certain parts of its content, though, to the point I am genuinely shocked that it was optioned to be translated (*specifically* because of Arbitro, he is skin-crawlingly creepy). Would 100% recommend looking up content warnings for it if you think you might need or want them.

Do you ever think about how in all three Tetsuo endings, where they managed to make up some, Youji either is shot to death or disappears under mysterious circumstances, so Youji's promise to spend more time with him and better their friendship goes is immediately broken? Or that fact that, in choosing those endings, Youji doesn't even think about Makoto for a single line (he does consider Erika, but not Makoto)? Because oh god I think about it a lot, just... every single character in this game deserves better than the world gives them, but most of them are ultimately struggling against the aftermath of God's curse against queer peopl-- uh, sorry, the People of Sodom. Makoto's struggles are influenced by that too, but they're ultimately smaller and interpersonal in nature... he had a chance to have these issues resolved, and yet they're still never fully repaired. One of the most painful storylines in this tragedy, 10/10 I love this game. ANYWAYS, thank you for the comment, I hope you enjoyed this! I am editing a bunch more sweet pool currently because I adore this game so much.

Thank you! The purpose of this edit was to smash people over the head with typography and then I got distracted with adding hand-animated bits to the auras to make them look better. If we extracted whatever juice compels me to make manips we could revolutionize AMV editing...
