I was not good at listening to English, so I didn't hear Aragon's explanation. Hidden Zen pin? Pinless? Tangless? I was wondering what pin design you adopted!

It ain't a clone tbh, nobody is gonna look at it and say : "mmmmmh, this monarch v1 is looking great !". It doesn't look like the original design, they don't try to make a copy of it. (no hate, just my opinion)

Not super heavy. If you learn on a heavy balisong it will make everything else feel effortless. It flips incredibly good with no modifications or shaving any weight.

@1badspeed6
@1badspeed6 27 күн бұрын
I respectfully disagree, aluminum is a worse material in every way besides weight. The durability and the slippery nature of the metal alone turns me off to the vulp. Also the vulp is designed to be more handle biased (more handle heavy than biased), which is the opposite of what most flippers like now a days. The canyon is far superior in every way besides weight.

How do the stop pins work on this? If its pinless will the titanium wear out?
@1badspeed6
@1badspeed6 Ай бұрын
After some time it will. I saw somewhere in a comments section that if you have treated titanium the constant motion of the blade hitting the handles will eventually "work harden" and become harder to deform. I have no idea if that's true or not, but just what I've heard

I was pleasantly surprised with the ones I got back in March. They’re real nice. The one you have is the first I’ve noticed to have a variation on it. I’ve not seen the blade with D2 stamped on it before so these may be a new batch going out.
@1badspeed6
@1badspeed6 Ай бұрын
Honestly it's probably not a new batch, they probably are just stamping the blades D2 and still using the original blade steel. D2 it like the go to steel for clone manufacturing companies to list as their blade steel.

People get the squiddy because you can use and get it imported in almost any country, as well as its completely unthreatening, plastic, light, and cheap. So people get squiddies not for performance but for the fact that its less a knife, more a toy.
@1badspeed6
@1badspeed6 Ай бұрын
I hear what your saying, but I don't agree with the sentiment at all. There are ways to get balisongs in EVERY country. And the squiddy shipped to the EU or something will always be more expensive than something shipped from China. It being plastic makes it more of a waste of money in my opinion as well. Just get a canyon for 20 dollars less
@1badspeed6
@1badspeed6 Ай бұрын
And it doesn't make sense to get a balisong "designed by flippers for flippers" that isn't a good flipper. It makes no sense lol. I'd rather a gas station knife than a squiddy.

@@1badspeed6 I live in NZ, and unless you want a crappy semi illegal gas station butterfly knife then trainers are your only option.
