Hello Charlotte. Sorry about that. Firstly, before your hair is plaited, you need to ensure that it is moisturized using our 2in1 Deep Conditioner and Leave In Treatment. This will ensure that your scalp is soft and the tenderness reduced. Thereafter, use the Tsavorite Spritz Moisturizer for extra softness and quickening hair growth and then the Emerald Hair Butter to seal in the moisture. That will reduce the post-plaiting itching a lot. Continue to moisturize and oil your hair daily.

Great technique! The string is important. If you tie it around something more sturdy like the wooden part of the chair, your dread my be compacted because you'll pull it tight, The flexibility of the string helps the tension while you work to remain loose and helps create a more consistent dread. Notice how the string gives way and allows him to decide the tension as he goes.
