Perhaps you didn't perform better because of the side effects of a high dosage of stimulants, which wouldn't be that much of an issue if you took 20mg as opposed to 200mg.

In Sweden we have this saying: "Är munnen dum, får pruppen lida". Which is hard to translate, but it means that your asshole suffers for your mouths stupidity. This time though, it seems like they stood to suffer together in solidarity for the stupidity of the brain.

AIUI caffeine is faster onset than theobromine because the methylation allows it to pass through the blood-brain barrier.

I had a hemorrhagic stroke when I was eighteen due to overdosing on 2CB. Blood pressure skyrocketed. It damaged the part of my brain that controls the beta system of my heart. Now I have extreme and chronic tachycardia. I’m on a beta blocker which makes me feel mostly normal again but if I drink even 2 milligrams of caffeine, I get heart palpitations. I drank a Dr. Pepper once which has about 42mg of caffeine and it sent me into repeated tonic seizures due to how fast my heart was beating. Heart rate was 240+ for hours. The highest recorded blood pressure was 220/169. Anyway, before my stroke (which was December of 2014) I drank caffeine all day every day. Coffee, tea, sodas, energy drinks, whatever. Now all I drink is water because I once mistakenly drank an orange crush thinking it was caffeine free like Fanta. I wonder if the chemical synthesized here would have any effect on my heart rate. It would be an interesting test to run.

Why ? 1.There are already excellent naturally occurring variants of caffeine (theacrine, methylliberine) which are much better than caffeine, primarily because they don’t cause ‘jitters’. 2. Why would anyone want to synthesise caffeine when you can buy it in bulk online ? I bought a half kilo for about $15. 3. Caffeine and its variants are not ‘recreational drugs’. For fug sake. They are functional. They maintain alert awakeness. That’s all. I guess that *could* be called recreational if you’re too sleep deprived to have fun - because you abuse recreational drugs. You may as well call aspirin a recreational drug, because you can enjoy being high with less of the headache caused by sleep deprivation (from too many recreational drugs). 4. There is a fantastic, underrated, *free* high obtainable by getting good sleep and nutrition, and having something more worthwhile to do than just tweaking your brain chemistry out of sheer boredom.

Your experience on 200mg of DMAX makes me confident that it could be a better alternative to caffeine for people with high blood pressure (such as myself - I go into Tachycardia easily but still use Red Bulls to go into dish cleaning beast mode at work). I would like to see more research come of this and eventually see it being using in energy drinks as a smarter compound.

Long come ups on drugs are usually due to it having an active metabolite and if it is noticeable, it is probably more powerful. It is possible that you didn't notice the prime effects of the drug because it may have less of the "shaky" or "stimmy" effect. Some drugs can be hard to notice if you don't know what the effects. Also cross tolerance with caffeine may have come into play. The metabolite may be more "stimmy", so you noticed. Caffeine definitely can cause that general sense of anxiety.

This could potentially be a good treatment for Parkinson’s disease. Adenosine A2 antagonists help treat Parkinson’s, but caffeine may be dangerous to use for Parkinson’s due to its action at other adenosine receptors.

Is this similar to DMAA - 1,3 dimethylamylamine? I know some preworkout companies have added 60-100mgs of that with 300+ mgs of caffeine. Ive used them and maybe its just me but the caffeine definitely feels like it hits harder or feels more intense - and i have a very high tolerance for caffeine. Also have a euphoria and hyper focus from the DMAA
@LabCoatz_ScienceКүн бұрын
DMAA is actually closer to amphetamine in terms of chemical relation: it's only missing a few carbon and hydrogen atoms to complete the aromatic ring. Otherwise, the active site on DMAA that causes all of its effects is identical to that of Adderall!

If you search for "1-Allyl-3,7-dimethylxanthine" (switching allyl and dimethyl to order alphabetically) then you find a few more results with interesting information, like the melting point etc. The problem is that somehow google search and stuff seems to be really specific about the order, otherwise you don't find as much info.
