I had this keyboard as a teenager ☺️ If I remember correctly, I had wanted it for a really long time... And then found it at a garage sale!

13:17 Sounds so familiar and nostalgic. Like the intro music for a lost 80's sitcom.

The song sounds like something from a theme song for an early 90's detective show.

I personally have a CM-32L which is essentially a lower cost version of the MT-32 in a beige box exactly the same as the CM-300 which as you may know is the same as a Roland SC-55 but without a display or on board buttons. That bit about it not receiving from channel 1 also applies to the CM-32L and I thought it was faulty because my Casio CT-700 also only recieves channel from channel 1 but when I asigned my Evolution MK-149 midi controller to another channel it worked so I don't need to fork out on an MT-32 after all ( even though the MT-32 looks nicer than a plain beige box ) but I actually bought the CM-32L bundled with a CM-32P which an optional PCM expander module with 64 instruments based on selected Roland U-110/U-220 samples and also has a card slot for one of the SNU-110 PCM cards. I also have a Roland U-220 but because the U-220 has a dud button I needed another sound module to use the Rock drums card so it was the perfect way for me to also get an LA Synthesis sound module.

I had one in the 90s. I paid like 150US. I had no idea it had so many features. I wish I could find one for cheap.

I always wanted a 4-trak but eventually got a tiny little Zoom PortaStudio 2. It was digital by had a similar workflow.

I cut my proverbial teeth on numerous 4 track machines in the 90s using the same techniques.the easier and perhaps more common way to get more parts was to record 3 tracks then bounce them down to the 4th track freeing up the original 3.i ended up using a tascam 424 before I transitioned to my first DAW(digital orchestrator pro) and since then Cubase

Hello, I need some help with one of these! I have some 12v power suppliers but the have different Amperes, do you know how many is enough not to burn it?? 1.5A? 2A??

The ACTUAL trick is to fill three tracks, then bounce a mix to track four by taking the output from the tape deck and putting it to the input of track four freeing up the first three tracks. You can then record two of them and bounce to track three and then you have two tracks left.

is it possible to play the soundtracks to these msdos games without a computer? basically load the midi files for the games soundtrack to a different device (other than the computer) to send the midi data to the mt-32? also be cool to load the sound effects from these games into a sampler that can send the midi data to mt-32

Hi, great video! Didn't find the answer to a problem I'm having with this keyboard. The pitch of every sound is way off, somewhere between a quarter to a fifth of a semitone off. Sounds awful when trying to play on top of something, checked it with two different tuners and it's in fact off. Do you happen to know how to fix that? Thanks in advance!

In 1985 I purchased a keyboard accessory for my C64. It was rather large (61 keys). The software included a sequencer application. It had the unique ability to start and stop sequencer playback by pressing a key on the musical keyboard. Unfortunately I do not remember who manufactured this product. The keyboard had a pretty good feel and could play the standard 3 simultaneous notes on the SID chip. Maybe someone here remembers the actual name of the product. Funny, I remember trying to play the "Axel F" Theme on the keyboard! I also programmed "Material Girl" by Madonna on the sequencer. I used the product until I purchased a MIDI interface for my C64 and a Casio MIDI keyboard in 1987.
