I have 1/4 acre (75W X 120L) vacant lot in central Florida where my soil is basically soft white sand - it compacts well but is like butter for digging. The lot has a 2' dip in the center where i want to park a camper during summer when it rains a lot. I've never seen it flood but FEMA says it eventually will. I was wondering if a Bobcat alone could dig PUSH a deep trench around perimeter then grade push everything up to a plateau in the center back basically creating aggressive trenches and dips where i want plant some thorny bushes that love water. ideally looking to elevate a 50W x 60L plateau section by 3+ feet by PUSHING my sandy soil around without having to bring in fill dirt. Think it's possible and what would a job like this cost in labor alone with just a Bobcat and operator? I'd love to learn to operate a Bobcat.

Do not lift the deck off the ground leave it on the ground and goes slowly once is enough. If you leave one in stubs sticking up from the ground animals are going to walk on them cut them off at the ground and mulch the entire surface do it once the right way put the deck down low enough and do the job once

I would never touch one of these while I have a Terex PT100G. Having operated both and the Cat 299D, nothing comes close to what the Terex can do. Whether it be steep and rocky, beach sand, turf or bitumen. There is no comparison. I don't know why you guys in USA are still using gp buckets. Get a 4 in 1, you will be so much more productive. This type of work can be done in half the time simply withe a 4 in 1 and aspreader bar. You can come in open it as you go, get it roughly right then pick up the spreader bar and level off and you're done.

Peter, the undercarriage on your mtl do not do very well on construction sites. They are best suited for grass and mud, but in mud you never know if a rock is hiding in there. They have good traction and run smooth but the maintenance is brutal. Also, if the mud is left in the suspension to dry you are looking for trouble. We used to spend about 4k/year on a PT80, plastic wheels, bearings, etc.

why on earth would you use a snow bucket to grade rock or sand? sure way to destroy your pins and bushings and probably your cylinders too.

Ricky Bobby I actually laughed at your reply lol. I just bought this same bucket for filling slabs and grading driveways. That large volume will help me make those truck loads of dirt disappear a little faster.

How do you like your machine? I'm thinking about buying one. Have you ever used a hammer with it? I need to demo a pool. Just curious what you think about it in general.

+Walt Henderson i find it to work well with everything i get it to do. saying that i haven't had a hammer on it yet, it dose have good power but you do have to have the blade down to take full advantage of that. hope that helps.

That's me right there! :) I like mowing away from cars and people, so I can run full throttle and get stuff done without having to wait for people on their cellphones or talking to others while I'm trying to mow. 2:10 This part reminds me of "Moby Dick" by Led Zeppelin :)

I bought one of these July 2014, the front doors kept popping, we had to finish the season without doors because Bobcat UK ran out of doors. Then at 280 hours the track motor went, Bobcat did not have a spare anywhere in the world, two months without a machine or replacement they finally found a motor but took two weeks to get the motor from the USA to the UK! Its not reliable enough.....avoid this machine! And guess what, when I complain Bobcat wash their hands and now the £55K machine is only worth £35K apparently......avoid avoid avoid!
