eventually got it to work with 1.2.3, didn't work with 1.1.3. Kept getting the message that there was no firmware on the card, but worked first time with 1.2.3 which was bit hard to find online, but when I did, worked like a charm

mine is 1.2.3 does this same principal work for 1.2.3 to 1.1.3 like load the 1.2.3. and do this process??

Thank you very much! I downgraded to 1.2.3. First try didn't because I deleted 1.3.6 from the card. Then I tried again adding 1.2.3 in the card without deleting 1.3.6 and it worked! Thank you!

KUDOS to You ! ! Among a number of KZbin videos on how to downgrade the 5D Mark III's firmware from 1.3.6 to 1.1.3 or 1.2.3, yours is the most concise and clearly demonstrates the single card/battery door technique for firmware downgrading. It's all in the timing of hitting the OK/SET button while opening the battery door. It took me about 4 tries before my timing reflexes achieved the necessary sequence interval. The remaining downgrading process went smoothly. Best Regards from Houston TX - USA

Hi Hari, I first upgraded firmware from 1.0.2 to 1.3.6 but now i can't downgrade to ether 1.3.6 or 1.2.3, it shows that its installed but when i turn my camera its still 1.3.6 ?
