It would make sense fir why the time shade was missing fir so long but then she would be the one to help ei plant the tree of sacred sakura in the past and ei put alot of visions on the time god statue so much more plus she would be the god of moments and shes been teasing aether about seeing his sibling over and over again but then all the times we saw lumine in a dream due to the sustainer would be that she showed us the bad and good and lumine used the loom of fate to make herself appear in caribates conciousness and this would make sense why lumine is doing this shes making this loom of fate to rerwite teyvat and remove the sustainer and focalors woulndt know about are sibling since she locked her self away but she also destroyed one of the thrones that even lumine was worried seeing that but nahaida says that sustainer is fading away she must be dieing she is tring to get out for some reason and if the twins are anything to go by lumine is having the cryo archon gain the gnosis and shes going to go tonthe island and break the seal and lumine wants to use the seven powers to end the sustainer or rerwite her fix what is rwong with her

Maybe lumine tole the cryo archon her plan and after both seen the disaster that she gave a reson that the cryo archon couldnt refuse and the cryo archon saw the other archons reason enough to give up their gnosis and used all her power to gain the gnosis through each of them by a similar means which they opperate freedom contrats duels knowledge trails and war and love these seven reasons which the cryo arhon used methods as such to her adventage with hers being diplomatic figures to settle this matter and after all the archons great suffering it makes since why even focalors would agree even if she didnt die this was how shes getring the gnosis and then giving them to lumine so she can fully restore her powers and bring her brother back and fix teyvat forgood the loom of fate what the cryo archon told her she would need and leave kheanriah to find this and complete it to inact this and become a will that can reweev the leyline and burn down the old world (irmansal memories ) to make a new teyvat as she would see it fit and rule over

I come back here after two years just to state that I still love this quest and deem it one of the best stories in GI up to this day.

Well in the real world this would be an act against all believers of god but in the sense that we are under a tyranical being say like the government then if were oppressed its fair to want to be free (like back in some of the historical places where tyrants ruled those were to times when ppl whished to be freed and not inslaved its maddneing like the emperor of egypt ramises or however you spell it also the one thats rulling teycat isnt the kind god that made it what it was before the fight with the dragons but the second who came cuz no mention of that god being dead or out of power so its fair to assume the primordial one is eaither dead or in hiding but then you need the creator to show uo and fix everything cuz the po and its shades are gone in some way and they have deteriated over the last 8 to 10 -20 thousand years

Ehh, I totally get the date quest comments. It's not so much that the quest was romantic or an actual date but: 1. The actions you did were certainly date activities (take a walk around town, go shopping, get dessert together, take a photo to remember the evening). 2. It was a wildly different tone compared to the dark events of the archon quest (which were at best a result of a willful ignorance on Ei's part, at worst, directly her fault for putting the puppet in charge and then going out for m̶i̶l̶k̶ euthymia). To go from causing her people to suffer/die and trying to kill the Traveler, to being all cutesy about liking sweets and not understanding what a camera is felt unearned. (Or like HoYo was trying to force her into being just another desireable waifu character.) I distinctly remember going through Ei's first quest thinking "Are we...even on good terms?? Why are we just hanging out in town? I haven't forgiven her yet for all the events of the archon quest". I understand her first quest was supposed to get us to forgive her and kick start her development, but it felt like it relied too hard on "She's pretty and being cute so let's give her a chance". Contrast this to Childe's quest, which had a very similar situation. Childe has just betrayed us in the Liyue archon qust and I was absolutely pissed at him when I started his personal quest. However, that quest didn't rely on Childe being charming or attractive, but rather used Teucer as a device to get us invested in the story. We don't trust Childe, we may not even like Childe, but we go along on the adventure for Teucer's sake, because he's a kind and friendly kid who's innocent in the situation. Along this adventure we get to see a side of Childe that we haven't before, and learn that there's a lot more to him than we realized. We don't even end the quest trusting or forgiving Childe, but he and the Traveler do reach an understanding: they both love and would do anything for their family. This then forms the basis of the comraderie Childe and the Traveler develop from there. Ei's first quest doesn't do nearly as much to develop her character and get us to forgive her, imo. The second quest does a much better job of fleshing out her character and is a *much* better quest overall, but it's building on the forgiveness and comraderie that the first quest failed to really deliver on.

I noticed that Pyro vision users have a...burning passion for something, like Xiangling's passion for cooking or Bennett's for adventuring. Cryo users seem to have gone through a tragedy which is why some like Rosaria give us a...cold shoulder Hydro users are more than they seem, like with Furina hiding a lot of turmoil behind her facade when we meet her. Anemo users? Maybe it has to do with some kind of duty? Jean is an acting Grandmaster, Xiao is a Yaksha, and Xianyun is basically a mother to those whom she teaches.

Maybe her confinement cell *ahem* room is so small precisely because Klee has barely enough understanding of the potential consequences of her explosions that she knows if she tries to blast her way out, she'll get blown up too.

i just assumed they were too lazy on the traveler's blade in cutscenes and just decided to give the traveler a simple dull blade sword for everything. But this is a really intresting take though!

I know im late but heres my theory. Maybe the outlander blade cannot work with the seven elements because its from another world. its like trying to scoop up soup with a fork or a toy with different batteries, we can infuse elements into the weapons just like Bennet, Diluc, Keqing and many more. Lumine has her sword and doesn't use one of the seven elements. And since Aether fully relies on the elements he needs a weapon that is compatible with it. My guess is he still has the sword but cant use it properly since he doesn't have his original powers

Compare Furina's story and Eis story and the populations of people that understood both. You're being very disingenuous by saying that it's peoples fault for not understanding.
