Los "sabios" que han elaborado este bodrio de clasificacion no tienen la mas minima idea de lo que es cantar. Se rigen por criterios de marketing. Era Caruso tan bueno como dicen ?. En Napoles, su tierra, le pitaron y,en Barcelona, tuvo que irse sin cantar todas las representaciones para las que fue contratado. Fue Caruso un producto de marketing ? . No lo se, pero tampoco puedo identificar las maravillas que se le atribuyen. En cambio, las de Fleta si las identifico claramente.

Con la evidencia disponible y salvando las limitaciones de las grabaciones de Caruso, aunque en lss grabaciones de la misma epoca es superado por Paoli, el mejor tenor de la Historia es Alfredo Kraus: voz bellisima, que llenaba la sala, legato, fiato, pianisimos, agudos squillantes, que atravesaban la sala como flechas, por encima del coro, orquesta y solistas. Sin bajar las arias de tono. Nadie se le puede comparar. Esto es objetivo: yo he visto a Kraus y a otros muchos en el teatro. Nadie ha visto a Caruso y hablan sin conocimiento de causa. Por cierto, la voz mas bella es la de Aragall.

Really nice list but no Ruffian and No Zenyatta on a list of 25 best is a total joke

A list like this can only be for contentious entertainment because nobody here has seen most if any of the list actually singing live. Relying on recordings isn't fair because of the way technology has progressed. There is no-one here that has heard someone like Caruso sing live, only on something that was recorded through an acoustic horn. Of course, naming the video "25 Tenors I think are good" wouldn't attract 100K viewers.

I just read over this entire list and heaved a sigh of relief. There will never be a single list of great tenors and we are fortunate to be able to hear those who have existed. I was also relieved NOT to be the only person on the planet who feel Lanza and Boccelli have no place on the list!

All of these horses were great in their own way. Man O' War was way before my time. Secretariat was the best looking horse I've ever seen and had the greatest run as a 3 year old winning all 3 Triple Crown races in record times. However, my sentimental favorite is Forego who beat very good horses carrying extra handicapped weights on 3 bad legs. He was a great stretch runner who liked running on the outside meaning he had to run further distances than the horses who were closer to the rail. One wonders how much better he would have been had he had 4 good legs and not carried the extra weight.

I do not agree with your picks even though all of these men are great tenors. I also thing that Lanza and Bocelli do no belong on this list.

How is Zenyatta not on this list. Beat the best male horses in 2009 Breeders cup classic and should have won again in 2010 if not for her jockey but got beat by a nose. 19-1. Rachel Alexandra was great too. At least throw one filly in there. Ruffian, Personal Ensign.

If it wasn't for Secretariat being the same age as Sham you could possibly see Sham on this list. He still has the second fastest Kentucky Derby time, even though he lost to Secretariat.

Secretariat is the greatest race horse of all time. It isn’t even debatable. My problem is where is American Pharoah? Definitely a top five horse. In my opinion a top three. But I’m just a casual fan. No expert on horse racing.

Pharlap was NOT an american racehorse though he raced and died there. ANY aussie will tell you he was a champion and probably STILL our greatest stayer though a horse named Makybe Diva must go close after winning THREE Melbourne Cups with huge weights approaching 60 Kg

Ive been a professional handicapper for 35 years, and Ive never seen ANYTHING close to what FLIGHTLINE did in the Pacific Classic: his 1st TWO TURN race(in a grade 1 mind you) he won by 21 lengths. He is top 3 of all time...

The only one I would disagree with is Pavarotti. Personally I never rated him. Mario Lanza was superb and different from all the others and my personal favourite. However I do agree that Domingo at number one is a fantastic tenor.
