In LA it wasn't just autos causing smog. Up until around 1960 the sanitation dept didn't pick up burnable trash so every home and apt building had an incinerator. Imagin a city as big as LA burning trash. When it was bad it was a choking eyewatering bad. I experience it as a kid.

I think saying manipulating how people think is a misunderstanding. In Japan, convenience is a way to reduce stress. It's not manipulation, but you could say helps to calm people.

Everything in Japan has a reason. Maybe it's to relax people a little. I think that's a good idea.

I see what you're getting at here. I need to sever my optic nerve! ....or just gore out my eyeballs. Also, it depends upon what you mean by "black,: There's art black, the presence of all colors, and science black, the absence of all colors. And then there's the black that's regularly subjected to overt, covert, and institutional racism, along with any number of other societal disparities and microaggressions based upon generations of racial inequity, and the inability to accumulate wealth, property, and power to the same extent as the racial and ethnic majority. I see that black, and can even empathize with that black, but I can never see the world that black sees. I do see them regularly being minimized, trivialized, and disparaged by individuals who claim they don't see any color. What they don't realize, is by pretending race doesn't exist, you're ignoring the inherent problem allowing racism to be continually perpetuated. See, if you treat everybody as equals (and I'm still generally dubious as those who claim to be "racially color blind," tend to harbor significant racial biases) but some of those people are starting out with a severe disadvantage due to the fact that the last 10 generations in their family were incapable of amassing anything that allows you to get a head in this world, all those disadvantaged people are going to inherit is debt, despair, and generational trauma. So yeah.... I see black. I don't trust those who say they don't see black, or any other skin color, because it ignores the problem.

Every time there is a classic audiobook on Spotify its always this ahole narrating. Got an audible sub instead for audiobooks. Plus the 15 hour limit is a non issue for like $8 instead of paying for the $10 extra on top of my family plan for audiobooks on Spotify.

Complete BS. The train station melodies are meant to keep you alert to the incoming and departing trains, not relax you. They are loud and not peaceful, albeit not jarring. I like them. They give workers a bit of pep if anything. Also, they are on the above ground JR line trains which are NOT subways. The bird sounds are for blind people to help them find the escalators and stairs. The jingles and sounds have been around for far longer than the time of that horrible 2005 train accident in in Hyogo Pref.

Quite a bit of mistakes. CPF, not CTF. Malays, not Malaysian (who are citizen of Malaysia). and the chart for the sale price of HDB flats are ridiculously wrong too. You almost triple the cost. For eg, a open market 4 room flat only (meaning its a resale flat) cost around 400 over thousand, not S$1,400,000. and if the flat is new, its even cheaper, around 200 over thousand for 4 room. Suggest more fact research to be conducted if you wish to do a fact video.

um, aaaactuallyyyy 🤓 that particular melody (0:25) would not be underground. That's a JR melody (one of the Yamanote stations), and they're all above ground train stations.

"Nobody went to the beach"? But seaside resorts already existed in ancient Rome due to the relatively warm Mediterranean climate. In tropical countries, people who live along the sea regularly take a dip to bathe or to cool off, aside from going fishing. Native Hawaiians went surfing. True, going to the beach for leisure or recreation is a relatively modern and Western phenomenon largely driven by capitalism. It is more a case of commercial interests glorifying what, in other cultures, is a commonplace (and even cheap) past time, but the same thing has happened to other things.

yeah, I just found it and listened to bits and just had to hear what others thought about this, dude sounds terrible😭😭 i hate marketing though, because if they, Spotify, didn’t care so much about competition, we could have had someone who was better trained read such a beautiful classic. It just shows how some humans hold no authenticity. Thank you again capitalism.

Not to justify but to understand, but maybe NATO shouldn’t have moved its troops closer and closer to Russia’s borders leaving the leadership of Russia to logically perceive an existential threat that would only get worse the longer they didn’t act against it.

After 4 months of buying this mouse and using it regularly, it failed and Logitech didn't want to help me because I bought it from abroad. When I got it to a hardware store he found out that the PCB of the scroll wheel wasn't working because an IC got burnt. The shocking thing is Logitech doesn't have a replacement for this IC or the PCB and there are no spare parts in the market. Also, Logitech doesn't have information about this IC. This is very annoying, 120 USD gone to waste...
