So that's why Mephiles took Shadow's form. It's because the dark hedgehog was the first opponent he faced. It's like Mephiles is taunting Shadow. What I don't understand is why doesn't he have a mouth. Shadow is an angel compared to him. He's most cruel of all Sonic villains. He's merciless. I have a feeling that's how Shadow would have become if it wasn't for Maria that gave him a good example.

If they ever remake sonic 06...they need to get dan green back as mephiles.. His new VA in shadow gens sounds whiny to me (thats my opinon)

I'm gonna be honest. I'm a simple guy, I grew up playing Sonic 06 constantly. I know tons, if not all, of Sonic fans hate Sonic 06 but I personally really like the story alot. Like yeah sure you spend the whole game going through this rigamarole just to undo it by the end of the game but think of it this way: Mephiles fusing with Iblis to become Solaris that exists in the past, present and future, a creature so powerful it took 3 Super Hedgehogs to bring it down in the three separate spaces of time, twice. So powerful that literally the only way to actually stop the creature in it's entirety, is to go back and ever stop it existing in the first place. Mephiles spent the whole game absolutely playing and deceiving every character at every turn in multiple timelines just to make sure he fuses with Iblis is insane. All that while also trying to get revenge on Shadow just because he's petty. I want Mephiles and Iblis to return so bad, and I'm glad P-06 exists to make the game much more enjoyable but I have to say, it sucks knowing most people dislike the game and now all we have is the actual game, P-06 and this boss fight. Mephelis/Solaris strikes me as the "Thanos" type of Villain. So powerful that anything and everything had to be done just to stop the guy. I think it's all underrated and overhated. (Minus Elise kissing Sonic, they genuinely didn't have to do that).

Why didn't Mephiles just fuse with Iblis after traveling to the future the first time? Iblis was already free in the future, and Mephiles had already found a Chaos Emerald by then. Seems like they wrote a character who was too powerful and the plot needed to artificially weaken him.

You guys gotta realize, sonic has faced gods and shit and out of every bad thing hes faced, mephiles of all villians was the closest and the only one who managed to kill sonic

Had to come back to this to scrub the Shadow Generations voice from my ears. Dan Green will always have the best Mephiles voice but I'm bugged that they couldn't be bothered to find a similarly deep voiced VA.

I'd like to consider the Bad Future Zones in Sonic CD a win by Eggman because technically he still won over the zones and mechanized them before Sonic came along. Not to mention most players just blitz through the game instead of finding the generators or time zones so I consider this a win for Eggman
